This document lists some of the most common TCP/IP and User Datagram
Protocol (UDP) ports used in the Cisco MeetingPlace environment.
There are no specific requirements for this document.
The information in this document is based on Cisco MeetingPlace server
software (all versions).
The information in this document was created from the devices in a
specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with
a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you
understand the potential impact of any command.

All of the applications use the same ports to communicate with a Cisco
In addition, there are a variety of ports used between Cisco
MeetingPlace conference servers and the MeetingPlace network server. It is
recommended that you allow unrestricted TCP and UDP traffic between networked

gateway products. It is opened from client (such as Cisco MeetingTime) to

This port is used for file transfer between a conference server and
Cisco MeetingTime, Cisco MeetingPlace Web, or a gateway. It is opened from
client to server.
This port is used for Telnet (for service login).
This port is used for FTP.
Cisco MeetingPlace Web typically uses TCP port 80 for client access
(HTTP), but that can be changed. It also uses domain name services on UDP port
53. TCP port 80 is also used between the Lotus Domino server and the
MeetingPlace for Notes Gateway.
This port is used for direct inbound access to host a meeting with

This port is used between the MeetingPlace Email Gateway and the Simple
Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server.
The T.120 server uses TCP port 1503.
This port is used between the MeetingPlace Directory Services Gateway
and the company corporate directory.
This port is used for MeetingPlace load balancing when the internal and
external MeetingPlace Web servers are sharing one database.
This port is used for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
This port is used for SNMP traps.
This port is used for Network Time Protocol (NTP).
This port has been left open for use by the syslog service.
RealAudio uses UDP port 7070.
