Unique Meeting ID Location Methods

There are two methods by which you can find the unique meeting ID of a meeting. The first method is through Cisco MeetingTime, and the second method is through the command-line interface (CLI). If you are not familiar with the MeetingPlace Server CLI, use the MeetingTime method.

Find the Unique Meeting ID with Cisco MeetingTime

In order to use this method, you must have a system manager profile on the MeetingPlace system.

Complete these steps:

  1. Log in to MeetingTime with a system manager profile.

  2. Click the Register Book in the MeetingTime reception area.

  3. With the Register Book open, click the Report tab and select Raw Meeting Details Info.

  4. Set the appropriate start and end dates for the report.

Note: The meeting date must be within this date range.

  5. Click the Generate Report button.

The report resembles this example. The ConfNum column contains all the unique meeting IDs. In order to find the meeting ID that belongs to your meeting, find the appropriate meeting information. For example, if your dialable meeting ID is 6000 and your scheduler ID is Apatel, your unique meeting ID is 536901574.

Note: MeetingTime provides all unique meeting IDs in decimal.

Find the Unique Meeting ID with the CLI

In order to use this method, you must know the technician login user name and password for the MeetingPlace Server CLI.

Complete these steps:

  1. Start a Telnet session to the MeetingPlace Server, and log in with the technician login user name and password.

  2. From the command line, issue the cptrace -C command.

The results resemble this example. The cptrace -C command displays meeting information. Among the information that the command provides is the unique meeting ID.

  3. Enter / at the : prompt, then the dialable meeting ID of your meeting, and press Return.

The system searches the whole log for the dialable meeting ID that you entered. If there is a match, the system highlights the dialable ID.

  4. In order to find the unique meeting ID number, look to the left of the dialable meeting ID.

This example searches for a dialable meeting ID of 6000. The unique meeting ID is the number after the letter C. In this case, the ID is 20007826.

Note: All unique meeting ID numbers that the cptrace command output lists appear in hexadecimal. If you plan to use this unique meeting ID to locate a recording on the MeetingPlace Web machine, you must convert the number to decimal.

  5. In order to exit the cptrace output, press q.
