Initial Public Release
UCCE - Releases 9.0(1), 9.0(2), 9.0(3)
Applicable for technology refresh upgrades to Release 9.0(X).
After an upgrade from earlier versions of UCCE to UCCE Release 9.0(1), UCCE Release 9.0(2), or UCCE Release 9.0(3) as a technology refresh, stored procedures (that is, the purge jobs in SQL) in Logger and Historical Data Server (HDS) are not created after the upgrade.
This prevents daily scheduled purge activities to control the size of the Logger and HDS databases within the configured percentage utilization (80% by default) and eventually causes auto purge to run constantly.
Daily purge activities will not run after the Release 9.0 upgrade is performed. The HDS and Logger databases will store data beyond the maximum recommended utilization and auto purge and purge adjustment will run constantly.
This might cause Termination Call Detail (TCD)/Route Call Detail (RCD) records not to be written and performance issues on the Logger and the HDS. All the 'A' tables, such as Agent_Half_Hour and so on, will be purged regardless of the age of the data. This is due to the fact that auto purge will run constantly to keep the database utilization below 90%.
This problem only occurs in a technology refresh scenario. Stored procedures are created if there is a common ground upgrade or a new install.
From the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio query panel, run the 'scheduledailypurge.sql' file. This creates the purge jobs for both HDS and Logger. This file is located at:
- Logger machine - 'icm//la(lb)/install' folder
- Distributor - 'icm//aw/install' folder
