Cisco Unified MeetingPlace

Field Notice: FA00216 - Real Audio Stops Converting With Real Producer Plus

May 26, 2004

Products Affected

MeetingPlace Web and earlier

Problem Description

Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.

On occasions, when Real Producer 8 Plus fails to convert a real audio file it will write a rmbatch.disabled file to the :\Program Files\Real\RealProducerPlus directory. This file will prevent future conversions from occurring.

Problem Symptoms

Users will see "Processing nowc" when they try to access real audio recordings from the MPWeb.

Remove the rmbatch.disabled file and restart the "MeetingPlace Audio Service".

FA00216 hot fix is available from CCO. This will also be fix in the next MPWeb release.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download the hotfix from CSRC.

  2. Stop the MeetingPlace Audio Service.

  3. Locate the mpaudsvc.exe. It should be in :\Latitude\mpweb\audiosvc file and rename it to mpaudsvc.exe.old

  4. Unzip the file. There should be a file called mpaudsvc.exe.

  5. Copy the new mpaudsvc.exe file to the :\Latitude\mpweb\audiosvc directory.

  6. Start the MeetingPlace Audio Service.
