Problem Description

Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.

If you install the MeetingPlace form using administrator account 'A' and then uninstall using administrator account 'B', you will encounter errors both during the uninstall and when starting Outlook after uninstall. The problem occurs because a registry key could not be removed successfully.

Problem Symptoms

The end user sees error message "... can not find mp4olxxx.dll..." when starting Outlook after uninstall.

Workaround/Solution

Workaround:

Run the existing setup.exe while logged in using administrator account 'B' to overwrite the registry location, then uninstall.

Resolution:

This issue has been fixed in MeetingPlace Outlook 4.2.5.36 hotfix. Download the hot fix from the Cisco MeetingPlace for Outlook software page.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Have end-users install by running the setup.exe program (new users) or by clicking the upgrade link on the MeetingPlace for Outlook scheduling form (existing users).

  2. Make sure to restart Microsoft Outlook after upgrading.
