Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco MDS 9020 Series Fabric Switch. The last day to order the Cisco MDS 9020 Series Fabric Switch is September 27, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco MDS 9020 Series Fabric Switch. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco MDS 9124 1/2/4-Gbps 24-Port Multilayer Fabric Switch. With its flexibility to expand from 8 to 24 ports in 8-port increments, the Cisco MDS 9124 offers the densities required for both departmental storage area network (SAN) switches and edge switches in enterprise SANs.
