Cisco Systems ® announces the end of life of the Cisco ® 12000 Series One-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card. The last day to order the Cisco 12000 Series One-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card is March 30, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until March 30, 2008. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco 12000 Series One-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card. Table 2 lists the product numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 12000 Series 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet ISE Line Card which features the IP Services Engine (ISE)-a powerful adaptive network processor (ANP) that combines the hardware performance of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) with the flexibility of software to deliver multiple robust network-edge features while maintaining predictable line-rate performance. Information about this product can be found at:
Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the Cisco 12000 Series One-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card to the Cisco 12000 Series 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet ISE Line Card.

The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product. The extension or renewal period cannot extend beyond the last date of support.

of support

The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.
