Migration Path Migration to a converged network can take place at a pace that fits your organization and doesn't have to occur in any particular order. Cisco Systems recommends two migration scenarios. Scenario 1:  Select a branch office or corporate location as a pilot site, implementing IP telephony over the LAN. Scenario 2:  Or, toll bypass over the WAN can lead IP telephony deployment, followed by a phased approach to LANs.
