Inleiding
In dit document wordt beschreven hoe u een MDS (Multilayer Datacenter Switch) kunt herstellen vanuit de Boot Loader-prompt en de Boot Mode (Opstartmodus).
Voorwaarden
Vereisten
Cisco raadt u aan om kennis te hebben van deze onderwerpen:
- MDS9000 CLI-configuratieopdrachten
- Hoe maak je een console verbinding met MDS switch.
- MDS-switch instellen of verbinden met een netwerk via de beheerpoort.
- Vertrouwdheid met TFTP.
Gebruikte componenten
De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de softwareplicht versie 6.2(9) en hoger. Dit document maakt gebruik van een MDS9148S-switch, switchname tempest, die ondersteuning biedt voor 12 tot 48 lijnsnelheid 16 Gbps Fibre Channel-poorten.
De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de apparaten in een specifieke laboratoriumomgeving. Alle apparaten die in dit document worden beschreven, hadden een opgeschoonde (standaard)configuratie. Als uw netwerk live is, moet u zorgen dat u de potentiële impact van elke opdracht begrijpt.
Achtergrondinformatie
Om correct te kunnen functioneren, hebben MDS-switches een valide, niet-beschadigde Kickstart- en systeemimage nodig om volledig op te starten. Ongeldige, beschadigde of ontbrekende Kickstart-afbeeldingen voorkomen dat een switch wordt opgestart en stoppen bij de Boot Loader-prompt. Een switch met een geldige Kickstart-image, maar een ongeldige of ontbrekende systeemimage, komt in de opstartmodus terecht.
Switch-opstartvolgorde
BIOS > Loader > Kickstart Image > Systeemimage
- Het BIOS (Basic Input Output System) laadt de Loader.
- De Loader laadt de Kickstart Image in RAM en start de Kickstart Image.
- Het Kickstart-image wordt geladen en het systeemimage wordt gestart.
- Het systeemimage leest het opstartconfiguratiebestand.

Stap 1. Download de Kickstart- en systeemimages van de switch en plaats deze in de map TFTP-server.
In dit voorbeeld is het IP-adres van de TFTP-server 10.104.204.100.
Stap 2. Configureer het IP-adres voor het beheer van de switch, het subnetmasker en de standaardgateway.

- De switch-interface mgmt0 IP-adres is 10.66.78.80 255.255.255.128
- Het standaard IP-adres van de switch-gateway is 10.66.78.4

De IP-toewijzingssyntaxis in loader prompt varieert enigszins voor switch HW-modellen.
Voorbeeld hier vermeld in het geval van T & V-serie Fabric switches.

Opmerking: configuratie stap 2 is vereist als u de switch voor de eerste keer opstart (voor de RMA-switch) of als de switch is opgestart om te wissen.
Stap 3. Start het Kickstart-image op dat zich in de map TFTP-server bevindt om de switch naar de opstartmodus te brengen.

1. Controleer de IP-configuratie in de opstartprompt van de switch.

Als IP Config niet is gevonden, configureert u het IP-adres voor interfacebeheer en het standaard IP-adres van de gateway opnieuw, zoals wordt weergegeven.
