Dit document verstrekt een steekproefconfiguratie die u toont hoe te om de router toe te laten om dynamische IPsec verbindingen van een PIX te accepteren. De externe router voert netwerkadresomzetting (NAT) uit als een privaat netwerk 10.2.1.x toegang tot internet heeft. Het verkeer van 10.2.1.x naar een privaat netwerk 10.1.1.x achter de PIX security applicatie is uitgesloten van het NAT-proces. De IPsec-tunnel maakt alleen gebruik van als het verkeer (10.1.1.x) de verbinding vanaf de PIX security applicatie initieert met de router met een extern netwerk (10.2.1.x). De PIX kan verbindingen met de router initiëren, maar de router kan geen verbindingen met de PIX initiëren.
Deze configuratie gebruikt een Cisco IOS® router om dynamische IPsec LAN-to-LAN (L2L)-tunnels te maken met een security applicatie die dynamische IP-adressen ontvangt op hun openbare interface (buiteninterface). Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) biedt een mechanisme voor de dynamische toewijzing van IP-adressen van de serviceprovider. Hierdoor kunnen IP-adressen worden hergebruikt wanneer hosts deze niet langer nodig hebben.

Op de PIX werken de toegangslijst en NAT 0-opdrachten samen. Wanneer een gebruiker op het 10.1.1.0-netwerk naar het 10.2.1.0-netwerk gaat, wordt de toegangslijst gebruikt om toe te staan dat het 10.1.1.0-netwerkverkeer wordt versleuteld zonder NAT. Op de router worden de opdrachten van de toegangslijst gebruikt om het 10.2.1.0-netwerkverkeer zonder NAT te kunnen versleutelen. Wanneer dezelfde gebruikers echter ergens anders naartoe gaan (zoals internet), worden ze vertaald naar het IP-adres van de buiteninterface via poortadresomzetting (PAT).
Dit zijn de configuratieopdrachten die op de PIX security applicatie vereist zijn, zodat verkeer niet door PAT over de tunnel kan lopen en verkeer naar het internet door PAT kan lopen.
