Deze configuratie toont een LAN-to-LAN configuratie tussen twee routers in een hub-spoke omgeving. Cisco VPN-clients maken ook verbinding met de hub en gebruiken uitgebreide verificatie (Xauth).
De spaak router in dit scenario verkrijgt zijn IP adres dynamisch via DHCP. Het gebruik van Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is gebruikelijk in situaties waarin de spaak is verbonden met internet via een DSL- of kabelmodem. Dit komt doordat de ISP IP-adressen vaak dynamisch provisioneert met DHCP voor deze goedkope verbindingen.
Zonder verdere configuratie is het gebruik van een vooraf gedeelde sleutel met een wild-card op de hubrouter in deze situatie niet mogelijk. Dit komt doordat Xauth voor de VPN-clientverbindingen de LAN-to-LAN-verbinding verbreekt. Wanneer u Xauth echter uitschakelt, wordt de mogelijkheid om VPN-clients te verifiëren beperkt.
De introductie van ISAKMP-profielen in Cisco IOS® softwarerelease 12.2(15)T maakt deze configuratie mogelijk omdat u andere eigenschappen van de verbinding kunt matchen (VPN-clientgroep, peer IP-adres, volledig gekwalificeerde domeinnaam [FQDN], enzovoort) in plaats van alleen het peer IP-adres. ISAKMP-profielen zijn het onderwerp van deze configuratie.
Opmerking: u kunt ook het no-xauth-trefwoord gebruiken met de opdracht crypto isakmp key om Xauth voor LAN-to-LAN-peers te omzeilen. Raadpleeg Mogelijk om Xauth uit te schakelen voor statische IPsec-peers en IPsec tussen twee routers en een Cisco VPN-client 4.x te configureren voor meer informatie.
De spoke routerconfiguratie in dit document kan worden gerepliceerd op alle andere spoke routers die verbinding maken met dezelfde hub. Het enige verschil tussen spaken is de access-list die verwijst naar het te versleutelen verkeer.

Als statische en dynamische peers op dezelfde crypto map zijn geconfigureerd, is de volgorde van de crypto map-vermeldingen zeer belangrijk. Het volgnummer van de dynamische crypto map-vermelding moet hoger zijn dan alle andere statische crypto map-vermeldingen. Als de statische waarden hoger zijn genummerd dan de dynamische waarden, mislukken de verbindingen met deze peers.
Dit is een voorbeeld van een goed genummerde crypto map die een statische en een dynamische vermelding bevat. Merk op dat de dynamische ingang het hoogste volgnummer heeft, en er ruimte is overgelaten voor aanvullende statische vermeldingen:
