Inleiding

Dit document biedt voorbeeldconfiguraties voor Inter-Switch Link (ISL) trunking tussen een Cisco Catalyst 5000 switch die Catalyst OS (CatOS) en een Catalyst 6500 switch runt die Cisco IOS® systeemsoftware beheert. U kunt een van deze switches in dit scenario gebruiken om dezelfde resultaten te behalen:

  • Any Catalyst 4500/4000, 5500/5000 of 6500/6000 Series switch met CatOS-indeling

  • Any Catalyst 4500/4000 of Catalyst 6500/6000 Series switch met Cisco IOS-systeemsoftware

Gebruikte componenten

De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de apparaten in een specifieke laboratoriumomgeving. Zie het gedeelte Netwerkdiagram van dit document voor meer informatie over de laboratoriumomgeving. Achtergrondinformatie

Trunking is een manier om verkeer van verscheidene VLAN's over een punt-aan-punt verbinding tussen twee apparaten te dragen. Twee manieren waarop u Ethernet trunking kunt implementeren zijn:

  • ISL (een eigen Cisco-protocol)

  • IEEE 802.1Q (een IEEE-standaard).

Dit document bevat alleen de configuratiebestanden van de switches en de uitvoer van de bijbehorende opdrachten in de voorbeeldweergave. Voor details over hoe te om een ISL stam tussen de switches van de Catalyst te vormen, verwijs naar deze documenten:

Belangrijke opmerkingen

  • De Catalyst 4500/4000 Series switches (die Catalyst 2948G en Catalyst 2980G omvatten) die CatOS slechts 802.1Q trunking gebruiken. Deze switches ondersteunen ISL-trunking niet.

  • De Catalyst 4000 switches met een Supervisor Engine II+ of hoger draaien Cisco IOS-software standaard. Deze switches ondersteunen zowel ISL als 802.1Q trunking-modi op alle interfaces, behalve op het blokkeren van Gigabit-poorten op de WS-X4418-GB en S-X4412-2GB-T modules. In deze gevallen ondersteunen de switches slechts 802.1Q trunking. Poorten 3 tot en met 18 blokkeren Gigabit-poorten op de WS-X4418-GB module. Poorten 1 tot en met 12 blokkeren Gigabit-poorten op de WS-X4412-2GB-T module. De term "blokkerende poort" betekent dat de poortverbinding naar de backplane wordt overtekend.

  • Elke Ethernet-poort op een Catalyst 6500/6000 Series switch ondersteunt 802.1Q en ISL-insluiting.

  • Gebaseerd op de module, ondersteunen Catalyst 5000 boomstam-enabled havens ISL insluiting slechts of steunen zowel ISL als 802.1Q. De beste manier om de ondersteunde insluitingstypen te bepalen is het gebruik van de opdracht show port mogelijkheden. De opdrachtoutput geeft expliciet de trunking-capaciteit aan, zoals dit voorbeeld laat zien:

  • Verzeker dat de trunking modi over de hoofdlink overeenkomen. Als u één kant van de verbinding als een ISL stam vormt, moet u de andere kant van de verbinding als ISL configureren. Op dezelfde manier als u één kant van de link als een 802.1Q vormt, moet u de andere kant van de link configureren als 802.1Q.

Problemen oplossen

Gebruik dit gedeelte om de configuratie van het probleem op te lossen.

Switch accepteert geen verandering van inatief VLAN op een Trunk-poort omdat poort niet-802.1Q poort is

Deze kwestie komt voor omdat de boomstampoort geen 802.1Q insluiting steunt. Een inheems VLAN vereist 802.1Q steun op een haven. Als de poort niet de ondersteuning 802.1Q heeft, staat de switch geen verandering van het inheemse VLAN toe.

Ondersteuning van 802.1Q voor trunking is een hardware-afhankelijke factor. Geef de opdracht show port capacity uit om te controleren of er 802.1Q ondersteuning is. De insluitingsoptie in de uitvoer van de show van havenmogelijkheden opdracht bepaalt de 802.1Q steun voor trunking.
