Inleiding

Dit document biedt voorbeeldconfiguraties op Inter-Switch Link (ISL) tussen een Catalyst 5500 en een Catalyst 5000 switch, beide die Catalyst OS (CatOS) in werking stellen. Alle Catalyst 5000 of 6000 familieleden die CatOS hebben, kunnen in dit scenario worden gebruikt om dezelfde resultaten te behalen.

Kort samengevat is trunking een manier om verkeer van verschillende VLAN's over een punt-tot-punt verbinding tussen de twee apparaten te dragen. Er zijn twee manieren waarop Ethernet trunking kan worden geïmplementeerd:

  • ISL (Cisco eigen Inter-Switch Link-protocol)

  • 802.1Q (IEEE-standaard)

Dit document geeft alleen de configuratiebestanden uit de switches en de uitvoer uit de bijbehorende voorbeeldopdrachten weer. Gebruikte componenten

De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de apparaten in een specifieke laboratoriumomgeving. Als uw netwerk live is, moet u de potentiële impact van elke opdracht begrijpen. De configuraties op alle apparaten werden gewist met de duidelijke configuratie alle en schrijf wissen opdrachten om er zeker van te zijn dat ze een standaardconfiguratie hadden.

Belangrijke opmerkingen

De Catalyst 4000-reeks (inclusief Catalyst 2948G en Catalyst 2980G) die CatOS gebruikt, ondersteunt alleen 802.1Q trunking, niet ISL-trunking.

Elke Ethernet-poort op een Catalyst 6000 familielid ondersteunt 802.1Q en ISL-insluiting.

Afhankelijk van de module, kunnen Catalyst 5000 boomstam-Geschikt poorten alleen ISL insluiting ondersteunen of zowel ISL als 802.1Q. De beste manier om dit te verifiëren is de tonen opdracht van havenmogelijkheden uit te geven. De afvoercapaciteit wordt expliciet vermeld. Bijvoorbeeld:

Zorg ervoor dat de trunking modi over de hoofdlink overeenkomen. Als een kant van de verbinding is geconfigureerd als een ISL-romp, moet de andere kant van de link ook worden geconfigureerd als ISL; Als een kant van de link even is geconfigureerd als 802.1Q, moet de andere kant van de link ook worden geconfigureerd als 802.1Q.
