The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Configuring Static Services
Configuring Static Services
Use the Services > mDNS > Configure > Static Service page to static services that are always present in the cache. This is helpful for passive service providers that are either not capable of advertising on their own, or do it infrequently. For example, you can create a static service for a printer in your network, and verify cached services.
On the Static Service page, click Add.
Enter the instance for which you want to create a static service.
Enter the registration type for the instance.
Enter the domain and the host name to identify the instance on the network.
Enter the IP address of the instance.
Additionally, in the Advanced Settings section, you can specify the port number, the priority and a text description for the instance.
