The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Configuring General Profile Settings
Note: General settings are applicable to CiscoTAC-1 and all the custom profiles on your device.
On the General tab, enter the email address at which Cisco Technical Assistance (Cisco TAC) can contact your organization. This information is required.
If you choose email as the transport mode for your notifications, you must configure a mail server for your e-mail. Click Add. Select the Mail Server IP/HostName check box and specify a mail server name or IP address. You can configure your device to send messages to backup email servers as well. Specify the name or IP address of each email server. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to assign a priority to each server. The priority you assign here determines which server is used as the active server, and which servers are used during failure. The priority numbers range from the highest priority of 1 to the lowest priority of 100. The server with the highest priority, which the device is able to establish a connection with becomes the active email server.
Optionally, enter your telephone and address information, your customer ID, contract ID, and the site ID. This information is only used in the XML header of the Call-Home message and is not required by the Smart Call Home System.
You can specify a source interface name or source IP address, and a virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) interface to send Smart Call Home notifications. You can enter a source interface name, or a source IP address, not both.
In the Sender From field, specify the email address that you want displayed in the From field in the Smart Call Home email notifications sent to you.
In the Recipient field, specify the email address that you want displayed in the Reply-To field in the smart call home email notifications sent to you. If the reply-to recipient's email address is not configured, the address provided in the Contact Email-Address field, is used as the sender’s reply-to email address in all notification messages.
