Introduction
Cisco MSX is a service creation and delivery platform that enables fast deployment of cloud-based and on-premise networking services for both Enterprises and service providers customers. Through the combination of the Cisco MSX platform and service packs, the Cisco MSX solution offers a complete platform that enables the Service Poviders and Enterprises to offer the next-generation network services.
Cisco MSX 4.1 is a SaaS-only release. For on-prem deployment, you must continue using release 3.10. |

Cisco MSX Platform—A common framework that supports the full range of service-creation requirements.

Cisco MSX Service Packs—Pre-packaged software with capabilities for fully automating end-to-end service-creation, which includes ordering, service chaining, orchestration, service assurance, and all the necessary Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) that need to be carried out on the Cisco MSX platform.
