SSH (or Secure Shell) is a protocol that can be used to log into a remote machine and provide secure encrypted communications between your network device and your local computer. Telnet is a protocol that allows you to connect to the remote hosts over a TCP/IP network. The only difference is that in SSH the communication is made via encrypted channels where as in Telnet; the communication is made via plain text.
The objective of this document is to explain how to enable the Telnet and SSH service on the WAP121 and WAP321 access points (AP).
Note: Due to security concerns, Telnet and SSH services have been disabled on the WAP121 and WAP321 in later firmware versions. If your device has a more recent firmware version than 1.0.0.3, these features have been removed.
