This article relates to the Cisco TelePresence MCU 4203, Cisco TelePresence MCU MSE 8420, Cisco TelePresence ISDN GW 3241, Cisco TelePresence ISDN GW MSE 8321, Cisco TelePresence MCU 4505 and Cisco TelePresence MCU MSE 8510 products.
A. Please check our Endpoint Interoperability Database
or release notes to check if the software version or model you are using has any known interoperability issues with our ISDN GW/MCU/IP equipment.
Also, on the TANDBERG MXP's web interface go to System Configuration > ISDN/H.320 Network and make sure that H.331 is disabled. (If it is enabled, disable it now). Then check whether the video problem is solved.
In the past, customers whose endpoint had this option enabled were unable to send any video to the ISDN GW. The H.331 protocol is a standard for broadcasting and when this is enabled, it only sends data from the transmitter to the receiver and prevents any H.320 terminals to send any information back from the receiver to the transmitter. If this option is enabled on the TANDBERG endpoint, then even though it will be able to receive video from the ISDN GW, the H.331 protocol will not allow it to send any video back to the ISDN GW and as a result, the MCU or the IP endpoint will not receive any video as well.
