Cisco is refreshing its 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) switching portfolio for small business to provide better performance, superior ease of use, and advanced security to help our customers thrive in the digital economy. These new switches are the evolution of the existing Cisco® Small Business switching portfolio and share the same philosophy and value proposition – building a simple, secure, and reliable network at an affordable price.

With cloud, virtualization, Internet of Things, 802.11ac and Wi-Fi 6, small businesses – just like big enterprises – need a reliable and high-performance network backbone to support the increases in devices, applications, and traffic. 10GE may have seemed like overkill for small businesses a few years ago, but today it has increasingly become a necessity.

The new portfolio includes SX550X and SX350X 10GE switch models to replace the current SG550XG and SG350XG models.
