Bias-Free Language
The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-life dates for the Cisco® iSCSI drivers. The last day to order or download the drivers is January 15, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until January 15, 2009.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected drivers. Table 2 lists the product version numbers affected by this announcement.
Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement drivers.

These drivers are used for gateway functions on the Cisco MDS 9000 Family platform, such as the IP storage services modules that deliver four or eight ports of iSCSI connectivity over Gigabit Ethernet.
PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
Native iSCSI drivers are available now for several operating systems. Cisco has tested and qualified production versions of these native iSCSI drivers for use with the Cisco MDS 9000 Family and Cisco SN 5400 Series products. For host system requirements on native iSCSI drivers, please consult their release and installation notes.
