Notes on UCS Tested Reference Configuration and Specs-based Support

(top)

The EOS notice for the Cisco Business Edition 7000M server does not apply to the C220M3SFF TRC (SKU: UCUCS-EZ-C220M3S) or C240M3S TRC #1 (SKU: UCUCS-EZ-C240M3S. The C220M3SFF TRC and C240M3S TRC #1 will continue to be sold until these M3 TRC servers are EOS.

When the hardware support is specified as "Yes See Notes", the following exceptions exist, as applicable to the TRC or Specs-based policy referenced: The UCS M4 generation of C series servers is supported for use with any version of the Unified Intelligence Center application where the UCS M3 TRCs are supported as long as the firmware 2.0(9c) and later applied on the UCS C M4 series.

Virtual Machine(VM)-Specific Unified Intelligence Center Hardware Requirements

(top)

Virtualization of Unified Intelligence Center on Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) C-Series hardware is supported on the following reference configurations:

  • UCS C-Series C210-M1 Reference Configuration 1 (UCS-C210M1-VCD1) and Reference Configuration 2 (UCS-C210M1-VCD2)
  • UCS C-Series C210-M2 Reference Configuration 1 and Reference Configuration 2
  • Unified Intelligence Center 9.X, 10.0(1), and 10.5(1) are also supported over UCS C-Series C260-M2 server

  • IOPS and Storage System Performance Requirements

    (top)

  • CPU usage (average) should not exceed 60% for the ESXi Server and for each of the individual processors, and for each VM.
  • Memory usage (average) should not exceed 80% for the ESXi Server and for each of the VMs.
  • VM snapshots are not supported in production since they have significant impact on system performance.
  • The SAN must be able to handle the following Cisco Unified Intelligence Center application disk I/O characteristics.
  • Enable hyper threading on all ESXi servers.

The following table lists the IOPS numbers for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center.
    Supported Versions 11.5 onwards
Details Write (Kilobytes/Sec) Read (Kilobytes/Sec) IOPS
