The Company: The Bellevue Manila is the first full-service hotel situated in the Filinvest Corporate City, right in the heart of the Alabang commercial and financial district. An independent hotel -managed by a local corporation with Hong Kong investors - The Bellevue Manila offers broadband communications services, making it the only true business hotel in Southern Manila. All of its 222 rooms, banquet facilities, lobby, Asian specialty restaurant and business center have broadband internet connectivity. This assures its guests, largely made up of business professionals, internet connection anytime in the hotel.

The Bellevue Manila begun deployment of Cisco's networking solutions that include Cisco Catalyst 2950 Switches, Cisco Building Broadband Service Manager and Cisco 1751 routers.

Being a newly established hotel, The Bellevue Manila wanted to adapt topline technology to establish its position in the industry as a true business hotel. Cisco Building Broadband Service Manager 5.2 (BBSM) is a highly automated service creation platform that enables easy, plug-and-play guest and meeting room access, end-user self-provisioning of services, customizable portal and advertising platforms, and web-based management, reporting and configuration.

The Cisco BBSM platform enables property owners and service providers to create tiered service levels in order to deliver targeted customer offerings.

For instance, a hotel can set-up daily network access for a series of meetings providing a variety of bandwidth and pricing options, and voice and video capabilities.

"Apart from being manageable, Cisco's switches enable The Bellevue Manila to provide a secure network to our guests because of its private VLAN and access list features," Carreon added.
