Duncan Mitchell CBE

Senior Vice President, Emerging Markets

Duncan is responsible for Cisco's business throughout the 84 countries in our Emerging Markets Theatre, which encompasses the Middle East, Africa and Russia; a multibillion dollar operation.

Duncan joined Cisco in the UK in 1996 and held the role of UK Managing Director for 7 years. He then ran the Emerging Markets East Super Region between FY08 - FY11, before assuming leadership of the Emerging Theatre at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2012.

He has a strong personal interest in Cisco's Corporate Social Responsibility programs and is currently a member of the company's Inclusion and Diversity Council, as well as Executive Sponsor of the Energy Advisory Board.

In 2008, Duncan awarded a CBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, for services to business.

Tarek Ghoul

Director and General Manager Gulf, Levant & Pakistan

Tarek Ghoul is the Director and General Manager for Cisco in the Gulf, Levant & Pakistan region of the Emerging Market Theatre.

His role encompasses overall responsibility for field operations, strategy and planning.

Over the past decade, Tarek has been behind developing standing partnerships with government and business leaders; supporting and advocating the impact of Information and Communication Technologies to the transformation of the Arab World and the Gulf region at the core of Human Capital Development, Education and research, Healthcare, Economy Diversification, and Public Private People Partnership.

Tarek joined Cisco in 2004 taking various responsibilities across the Gulf, Saudi & Pakistan. As Director and General Manager, Tarek led the Gulf for Cisco achieving a CAGR of 40% over the past 4 years whilst building a balanced and sustainable business across all sectors and sizes of organizations.

Tarek also led his teams in a wide variety of Corporate Social Responsibility programs, engaging with organizations across the gulf in giving back programs.

Tarek has more than 18 years in the Information and Communication Technologies industry in the Middle East and North Africa, United States and India. Prior to joining Cisco, Tarek has had several senior roles in global organizations including Schlumberger (1989) and 3Com (2001).

In his previous career he took various General Management, Senior Advisory and Business Development roles and was responsible for several startup operations in the Middle East and North Africa Region.

Dr. Lucio Rispo

Dr. Lucio Rispo has been the Strategic Research Director at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) since March 2009. Dr. Rispo has more than 37 years of experience working in multicultural multinational environments. Dr. Rispo was President of Nortel Southern European Region, CEO Bull Europe and Latin America, Executive Vice-President Sema-Group Telecom and had international responsibility in Ericsson, Olivetti-Hitachi and Telecom Italia. Dr. Rispo has also managed international projects in Telecommunication, IT, Distribution, Aviation as well as Genetic research. Most recently before joining QSTP, Dr. Rispo was General Manager at BIOGEM a leading research consortium in genetics that counts 3 Nobel Prize winners among their researchers. Dr. Rispo serves on several boards in the telecom industry and has recently been appointed a member of the Continua Alliance Marketing Council.

Den Sullivan

Den Sullivan, Head of Architectures and Enterprise, Emerging Markets, Cisco
Den is responsible for helping customers in 84 countries align their business priorities with their IT strategies. His role is to demonstrate how an architectural approach to IT can help businesses thrive in a world where people want to share rich media with anyone, anywhere, on any device, at any time - securely, reliably, and seamlessly.
Prior to his role as Head of Architectures and Enterprise for Emerging Markets, he was CIO for a sales region that spanned Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Under his leadership, the IT Group made significant investment to support tremendous growth in the region. This meant transforming the organisation's foundational infrastructure while providing a portfolio of new capabilities such as Telepresence, and additional video and collaboration technologies.
Den joined Cisco, and the IT Architecture Group, in 2000. He was responsible for several large-scale advanced technology programmes including the initial portfolio of Virtual Private Networks, Wireless and IP Telephony services. In 2003 he managed the transition of the European, Middle East and Africa WAN to a Multicast MPLS network, the first of its kind globally.
Prior to joining Cisco, Den held a number of management positions in utilities, public sector and consulting. He has an MBA from London Business School.
Den lives in Dubai with his young family and has run the London Marathon on ten occasions.

Mitesh Patel

SSEM for Architectures - Emerging Markets.

Mitesh is responsible for aligning Architectural solutions for customers across all verticals spanning 84 Countries (Africa/Levant, Middle East, Russia/CIS). He brings 20 years' of experience within the DataCenter. He joined Cisco in 2002 as a DC CSE responsible for MDS switching sales WW. In 2005, he Managed a team of DC experts running sales for Enterprise customers across the Western US. Prior to joining Cisco, he took on various IT Management/Consulting roles with financial, manufacturing and startup companies.

Ahmed Etman is the Borderless Networks lead for Emerging Markets, responsible for business development and product sales. The Borderless Networks architecture comprises of Routing, Switching, Security, Mobility and WAN Acceleration technologies.

Ahmed joined Cisco in 2006 as a Business Development Manager for security technologies, part of the Central Security team responsible for EMEA. Since then, Ahmed has managed various businesses in Cisco including Advanced Technologies as well as various Emerging Technologies businesses.

Ahmed comes from a strong security background, as before joining Cisco, he held various positions at Internet Security Systems (now part of IBM), where he served as Technical Manager as well as being responsible for setting up the ISS operations in the Middle East and Africa region.

Anas Sawaf

Anas Sawaf is responsible for Cisco's Smart+Connected Communities business in the State of Qatar. With over 18 years in ICT industry, Anas is focused on developing Cisco's business and bringing Urban Innovations programs to the State of Qatar. Anas supports government entities, community developers, service providers, and technology vendors in the planning and execution of smart communities' strategies in Qatar.

Anas joined Cisco in 2002, where he led Cisco's partnership program for upper Gulf countries. In 2006, Anas Co-founded Connected Real Estate practice at Cisco in Dubai, and led the establishment of Cisco's eco-system partners' community and the real estate sustainability practice.

Prior to Cisco, Anas held various management positions and was the co-founder of two start ups; Trion Technologies and ProtechMedia in the United States. Anas established Mubadra, a non-profit organization focusing on community development and Social Inclusions through Information and Communication Technology.

Anas is a holder of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, from Ohio University - USA.

Victor Bishay

Collaboration Consultant - Middle East

Victor is the technical lead for Cisco's Collaboration Architecture Portfolio in the Middle East. In this role he is responsible for helping customers align their business needs with customized solutions that help them drive productivity and impact their day to day operations. Victor has been instrumental in supporting some of the largest enterprise and service provider environments in the region, helping them deliver the next generation workplace for their end users. In doing so Victor has garnered a strong reputation in the industry as a trusted advisor supporting Cisco's customers, partners and account teams on Cisco's unified communications and customer care solutions.

Victor joined Cisco in 2007 after spending a number of years as an instructor and consultant on voice, ip telephony and contact center technologies.

Victor holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
