Badr Al-Badr has years of experience in the ICT industry as the CEO and Board member of several companies. Al-Badr started Al-Alamiah Internet and Communications Company from scratch to become one of the leading ISPs of Saudi Arabia, doubling the revenue of company annually and establishing a hugely successful E-Government subsidiary that is currently used worldwide by hundreds of businesses. In Arabian Internet and Communications Co. (AwalNet) Al-Badr executed the merger of the largest ISP in the region and succeeded in increasing revenues and moving into profitability. In Advanced Digital Technology and Communications Co. (Raqmia), he landed several contracts by providing guidance and leadership from the idea stage to the closing stage. Badr's most recent accomplishment was leading the team that won the Saudi Data Telecom license.

While working for King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Al-Badr was a member of the team that was responsible for establishing the Internet industry in KSA by building and operating the national NOC and regulating the industry. Al-Badr has written a number of magazine articles and conducted public lectures on Computer and Internet technologies.

Al-Badr is active in the ICT community and is a member of the IT and Communications Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Executive Board Member of the Saudi Computer Society; Former Trustee of the National Information Technology Plan; and former Member of theE-Commerce Advisory Committee, Min. of Commerce.

Badr received his Ph.D. and Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington Seattle, USA in 1995 and 1991 respectively and his BS from the University of Petroleum & Minerals (UPM) 1987.
