Cisco “Small is BIG” Contest Official Rules
No Purchase necessary to Enter or Win. Internet Access is required to enter. Offered and open only to those eligible entrants in EGYPT. Void where prohibited by law.
- Eligibility: The Cisco Small to Medium Sized Business (“SMB”) Cisco Small is BIG” Contest (“Contest”) is a trade promotion open only to eligible SMB’s who are legitimate and lawful organizations including for-profit businesses and educational institutions (excluding non-profit, government and public sector organizations).
For purposes of this Contest, an eligible SMB is defined as an entity located in Egypt which: (i) has between ten (10) to two hundred-fifty (250) total full or part-time employees (which shall include overall employees of a parent, affiliate, and/or subsidiary company, entity or association whether or not located within Egypt); (ii) has been registered in Egypt for at least three (3) years; (iii) has at least ten (10) networked computer users; (iv) does not have an installed base of Cisco products unless such Cisco products were verifiably purchased by entrant more than three (3) years from the start date of this Contest;
Cisco Systems, Inc. and Cisco Systems Egypt Limited, any either of its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, and their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, representatives, agents, contractors and family members of those employees (spouse, domestic partner, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, children, siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household of those employees, whether related or not, are not eligible to participate. Persons making the Entry must have reached the legal age of majority in their state of residence, be an employee of the Organization and enter with its express permission and on its behalf.
- Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Cisco Systems Egypt Limited, a limited liability company at City Stars Project, Omar Ibn El Khattab Street, Tower 2A, Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt.
- Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Contest constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Judge which are final and binding in all respects.
- Contest Period: Contest begins on or about 12:00:01 am GMT+1 on 12th of October, 2009 and ends at 11:59:59 pm GMT+1 on 23rd November 2009 (“Contest Period”). All Entries (defined below) must be received by 23rd November 2009. Potential winner will be notified on or about their successes, by telephone or e-mail (in Sponsor’s discretion) using the contact information provided at time of registration (“Entry”).
- Entry:
Registration: During the Contest Period, register at http://www.cisco.com/web/EA/sib and fill out the Entry (providing contact information and minimum eligibility certification), acknowledge your acceptance to these Official Rules, enter all required information and then click on the “Submit” button; once submitted, entries may not be modified, deleted or cancelled.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify at any stage in the Contest any Entrant in the event of their noncompliance, failure to co-operate in any respect with the Sponsor and/or its designated third party; any information of whatever nature provided or omitted, which is or becomes inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or untrue; bribery; fraud; or any other reason similar or dissimilar which in the sole reasonable discretion of Sponsor should disqualify the Entrant from the Contest.
Limit one (1) entry per organization. If Sponsor receives multiple entries from the same Entrant, all but the first entry shall be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the person who made the Entry on behalf of the Organization by whom they are employed. The authorized “account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, late, incomplete, invalid, illegible or misdirected submissions, Entries or claims; for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions; or for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware, or software or electronic or human error which may occur in the transmission of any information related to this Contest or in the processing of Entries.
- Prize Draw and Prizes: Entries that meet the eligibility criteria specified in paragraph 1 will be entered into a random prize draw conducted on or around 30th November 2009. The first two (2) companies randomly drawn will receive Cisco small business equipment consisting of routing/switching, wireless, security and voice products, as determined solely by Cisco, up-to a maximum value of US$2,000 each (based on Sponsor’s Wholesale Price List). The equipment will be provided by Sponsor through its authorized distributor. The winner will be responsible at their own cost and expense for all installation and any and all equipment and services additional to, or not expressly included herein. Winner will also be responsible for obtaining at their own cost and expense any and all necessary, additional non-Cisco equipment and services required to operate a fully functional solution, including but not limited to items such as desktop and/or laptop computers, cabling and WAN connections, and any other non-Cisco equipment or services All elements of the prize are awarded in Sponsor’s sole discretion based on the assessment of the information provided in the survey page
IMPORTANT NOTICE: All Cisco Products must be redeemed within one (1) year of prize award or the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Cisco products may include, at Cisco’s discretion, the products or services of any company acquired or contracted by Cisco.
Cisco products received as a prize may not be resold, bartered, exchanged or transferred in whole or in part. No cash or other substitutions are permitted except at the discretion of Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value if the prize or any part thereof is unavailable or cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Prize must be accepted as awarded and are non-assignable and non-transferable in whole or in part and must be installed at the participating Egypt location. In Sponsor’s discretion, unneeded, unnecessary, unethical or illegal, superfluous, unclaimed, unredeemed or late redeemed prize, or any portion thereof, will be forfeited and not awarded. The prize winner is responsible for the payment of any and all taxes, duty, national insurance and/or licenses and or other fees that not expressly stated to be included as part of the prize or winnings and compliance with any applicable laws, rules and regulations, contractual limitations and/or office policies, if any, regarding participation in trade promotions or acceptance of promotional prize and by entering this promotion confirm that they are not in breach of any of the foregoing and have obtained their employer’s consent to participate and/or accept the prize if required. Sponsor shall not be liable to winner or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of the prize becoming unavailable or impracticable to award, or for any force majeure event, technical or equipment failure, terrorist acts, labor dispute, or act/omission of any kind (whether legal or illegal), transportation interruption, civil disturbance, or any other cause similar or dissimilar beyond Sponsors’ control. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or any act or omissions whatsoever by any third party vendor, promotion partner or any other persons providing prize related services or events.
- General Conditions: Cisco reserves the right at any stage of this Contest to investigate and verify Entrant eligibility and Entry information, including without limitation legitimacy of Entrant’s business or operations, and compliance with these Official Rules, and to disqualify any Entrant on the basis of its investigation. Cisco reserves the right to add, modify, change, improve, or discontinue this promotion, including any term, with or without notice.
By a submission of Entry, each Entrant grants to Sponsor (and agrees to confirm that grant in writing) and those acting pursuant to the authority of Sponsor, the right to print, publish, display, videotape, broadcast, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including, but not limited to, the World Wide Web and the Internet, at any time(s), the Entrant’s name, Entry Information, facts about the Organization, trade names, trade marks and logos, existing technology, results of technology makeover, and the name, picture, voice, videotape, likeness, and biographical information of the individual who entered on behalf of the Entrant as news, public relations efforts, trade information, and for Sponsor’s (and/or authorized third parties’) trade, advertising and/or promotional purposes without additional compensation or review. By entering this Contest, all Entrants and their participating Organizations agree that they may (but without obligation to Sponsor) be required during and/or after the Contest to actively participate in trade, public relations, and/or marketing activities, articles and promotional efforts by Sponsor and/or designated third parties acting upon Sponsor’s authority and in such event, Entrants agree to cooperate fully and to execute appropriate additional documentation as requested by Sponsor. Additionally, Sponsor may request winner and in such case winner will be required to be featured in case studies written to highlight the winner’s technology before and after implementation of the prize and the benefits of the prize and a video case study of the winner’s technology solution
Participation in the Contest will not affect the purchase price from Sponsor of any product or services or inventory valuation.
- Use of Personal Information: Personal information submitted in the Entry will be used to contact Entrants in the event of potential prize awards and, if Entrant checks the Opt-In box on the Entry, in the future regarding Sponsor’s promotions and advertising.
- Warranty: All prize are provided “as-is”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sponsor disclaims all warranties relating to the prize, express or implied, including, but not limited to, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- Limitations of Liability & Release:To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither Sponsor nor any of its related companies shall be liable, and accepts no responsibility, for (i) any delay, loss, damage, distress or inconvenience for or arising from this Contest, including any delay, loss, damage, distress or inconvenience related to any prize howsoever arising, including without limitation, from the acceptance, delivery, mis-delivery, installation, set-up, possession, use or misuse of the prize, participation in this contest, and/or participation in any contest or prize related activity; or (ii) any costs or expenses associated with any prize which are not expressly stated to be included in the prize. Nothing in these Rules excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by Cisco’s negligence or for any other liability or warranty that cannot be excluded by law.
- Governing Law and Disputes: These Rules and the Contest will be governed by the laws of England & Wales and the English Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms.
