Keynote Sessions

Fuelling Innovation: Internet of Everything
The Internet of the future - or Internet of Everything (IoE) is changing how we work, live, play and learn. The increasing value of networked connections between people, process, data and things creates new capabilities and experiences that are more relevant and valuable than ever before. This session discusses the driving forces behind the Internet of Everything, technology implications and disruptors, the IoE Value Index along with real life IoE examples.

Creating New Markets: Software Defined Networking
Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new approach to networking, complementing traditional network architectures. SDN aims at the normalization of network configuration and control through open programmatic interfaces to individual network devices as well as to the whole network. SDN incorporates concepts for network and network topology virtualization, and enables customized control planes. The latter allows close alignment of the network forwarding logic to the requirements of applications. OpenFlow is a specification being developed by the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) that defines a flow-based forwarding infrastructure and a standardized application programmatic interface (API) that allows a controller to direct the functions of a switch through a secure channel. This session will give an overview of the different concepts in SDN, and will discuss contributing technologies, and reviews OpenFlow as a protocol. The SDN concept is put into perspective with existing and evolving network architectures and principles.

Collaboration Sessions

Fuelling collaboration through simplicity
Being able to do more with less has always been the mantra. The Cisco Unified Communication Manager Business Edition 6k (CUCM-BE6K)provides small to medium sized organizations a flexible and simple platform to help them do just that. This session will focus on what all is possible on the CUCM-BE6K along with strategies to tie into Jabber.

An Intuitive Collaboration Experience with Cisco
The objective of this presentation is to provide a clear understanding of Cisco Jabber.
Cisco Jabber is an all-in-one collaboration client that helps maximize your IT investments while providing a positive collaboration experience for the end users.
Cisco Jabber can be used on various operating systems and devices and deployed in a variety of ways to meet your collaboration needs. This session will cover the deployment options for Cisco Jabber. We will review the evolution of Jabber and provide a glimpse of future possibilities. We will take a close look at the wonderful features that Cisco Jabber provides and how you can make the most of your IT investments.

Bringing Webex meetings and Telepresence together - WebEx-enabled TelePresence
The business world has become used to having to make the decision between using a full-fledged Telepresence conference bridge or using WebEx meetings. With the introduction of WebEx-enabled TelePresence these worlds can be brought together. This means that participants can select the best available experience, regardless of how they join the meeting. This has a dramatic effect of driving up usage of TelePresence while including this users who are beyond the reach of the TP installed footprint? This is an industry first.

Data Centre Sessions

Data Centre Unified Computing System Architecture
This session will offer an Overview of the UCS System Architecture, including all of the technical innovations that serve as the foundation. Among the topics covered will be overviews on Unified Fabric, Service Profiles, Hardware Abstraction, Fabric Extension, Memory Expansion and the UCS Manager. Further insight will be offered into the XML-based API and the basic set of managed objects, including Pools, Policies and Templates. Architectural building blocks will be highlighted to offer a greater understanding/ appreciation of the relational aspects of UCS elements and understand how they can be best leveraged to promote Data Centre/cloud operational efficiency and automation in both physical and virtual server environments.

Unify and Embed Management for Unified Computing
This session will offer an overview of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Manager and Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Director .
Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Manager provides unified, embedded management of all software and hardware components in the Cisco UCS. It controls multiple chassis and manages resources for thousands of virtual machines.
Cisco UCS Director is a unified management solution that enhances the value of shared infrastructure solutions, which bring together compute, network, and storage resources. Together, Cisco UCS Director and shared infrastructures improve IT agility, protect investments, simplify deployment of new services, and optimize asset use.

Fabric Innovations in the Data Centre
Data Centre deployments are happening, driven by workload virtualization and changes in application architecture and usage. During this session you will learn about new fabric and open networking innovations that provide a strong advantage for our customers.

  • NEW 10/40GE Nexus 6000 series switches and pervasive Nexus 40GbE support on the Nexus family, including Nexus 5000 and Nexus 2000

Enterprise Networks Sessions

Innovations in Switching
Come to this session to learn about Cisco's latest innovations in Ethernet switching. Covering Cisco's major Catalyst switching platforms, this session will provide you with an overview of Cisco's latest advancements in switching, and how these capabilities can be applied to solve problems in your network environments. Attendees at this session will learn how they can move their networks, and organizations, forward by leveraging the newest advancements in Cisco's switching portfolio. This session is targeted to Network Managers, Architects, and Administrators.

Whats new in wireless
For many organizations, WiFi is no longer a "nice to have" its a necessity. As WiFi becomes your organizations primary form of connectivity, you'll need to ensure its up to the task. This session will explore the technologies, hardware and software available today than can help your wireless network scale for tomorrow. 802.11ac and converged access will be specific areas of focus.

Redefine Routing as the Application Delivery Platform
Application deployment has become increasingly complex due to virtualization, cloud and BYOD, and has put new demands on network IT. To address this challenge, Cisco has redefined the role of the router to be an application delivery platform with Cisco Integrated Services Router with Application Experience (ISR-AX). During this session you will get an overview of Cisco's holistic approach to provide application-centric networking with pervasive visibility across your network without the use of probes, granular traffic prioritization and path control, and industry leading optimization.
The ISR 4451-X is the next evolution in Cisco’s journey to “Redefine Routing as the Application Delivery Platform”. This new member of the Cisco ISR Family offers customers a system which provides unprecedented native services with scalable performance and IT simplicity. We are bringing together the benefits of Appliance-level Performance with Simplified Service Integration, allowing IT to get ahead of the business and deliver “Services at the Speed of Business – with No Excuses” meaning that technology will no longer be the reason the business cannot act on a business opportunity.

Security Sessions

Data Center Security
Over the last 5 years, Data Centers, your most important asset, have evolved massively. The pace of change continues to ramp with new Architectures, Virtualization, Fabrics and Clouds.
How do you evolve your data centers and ensure they are secure, and prove they are secure, for compliance and audit?
Using a practical and pragmatic approach, we will present and demonstrate with demos how Cisco can help you tackle your security challenges, leveraging the intelligent network infrastructure and the broadest security portfolio in the industry (ASA5585, ASA SM, ASA 1000v, VSG and TrustSec with ISE). We will show throughout the day how a holistic architectural approach is the only effective way to solve your current security challenges, and more importantly get ready for tomorrow’s Data Center revolution without compromising your security.
The audience should include Network security officers, security and DC engineers, security and DC architects. It is assumed that the audience has a basic understanding of network security and datacenter designs.

What is new in Security
While the work of security professionals continues to evolve, worms and viruses continue to be a significant threat to enterprises, including attacks such as targeted malware, spyware, phishing, spam and application-level attacks which can cause significant damage. In this session we will explore the Cisco Security technologies that will help protect your networks against those threats.

Identity Service Engine Update
A few years ago, more than 90% of organizations declared that they would not support employees to bring in their own devices onto the network. Today the majority of businesses support the so-called BYOD phenomenon. During this session we will discuss the ability for organization to control the influx of new, and often unmanaged, devices onto the network in a controlled manner using Cisco’s Identity Services Engine (ISE) without increasing the workload for the IT team.
