Jeff Apcar is a Distinguished Services Engineer in the Cisco Advanced Services team. He has been with Cisco for 12 years and has over 30 years of experience in IP networking and data communications. He has worked with most major service providers in the AsiaPac region in the area of IP, IPv6, MPLS and Carrier Ethernet networks. 

Today, Jeff provides design consultancy, training, chalk talks and workshops in many areas of networking including MPLS, Traffic Engineering, Quality-of-Service, Multicast, Routing Protocols, Fast Convergence, IPv6, Carrier Ethernet, Smart Object Networks and Mobile IP. 

Jeff is well known for his knowledge in MPLS and is a co-author of the Cisco Press publication MPLS and VPN Architectures Volume II. He has also been a contributor to several other books including The Internetworking Technologies handbook, MPLS Security, Service Provider QoS and holds three issued patents in MPLS and Traffic Engineering.

Robert Starmer is the principle Cloud Architect for Cisco's Service Provider Systems Unit, supporting Cloud solutions development for the Service Provider market, and has 11 years of experience working with automation systems, from physical boot service translation, to virtual systems deployment across compute, network, and storage infrastructure. Prior to his role in SPSU, Robert managed both virtualised network services such as the virtual Port Channel technology in the NX-OS, the virtual orchestration framework (VFrame) for Data Centres and the prior VFrame on InfiniBand technology.
