Use these Release Notes with the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G running with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.0 and later, or Cisco Unified CallManager Release 5.1 and later.

Clear Call History Confirmation
The Clear Call History Confirmation feature requires users to confirm a deletion request for entries in the Call History. When a user requests a deletion, the user must press the Yes softkey to confirm the deletion or the No softkey to cancel the deletion.
This feature has no administration requirements.

Russian Domain Support
The Russian Domain Support feature provides support for the new regulatory domain for Russia.
The Russian regulatory domain uses the following channels for the 5 GHz band:
The Russian regulatory domain uses channels 1-13 for the 2.4 GHz band.
This feature has no user impact.
The feature is supported on the following phones:
XSI Alert Tone Silence
The XSI Alert Tone Silence feature provides the user with the ability to stop an XSI (XML and X/Open System Interface) tone while it is sounding. The user presses the red Power/End button to stop the tone without dropping the call.
This feature has no administration impacts.

XSI Tone Waiting Improvement
The XSI Tone Waiting Improvement feature provides the user with different tones to announce incoming voice calls and incoming XML applications (for example, an incoming Push to Talk call).
During an active call, a user can receive an incoming call waiting tone or an incoming XML application alert. The call waiting tone and the XML application alert tone use different tone patterns to assist the user in identifying the incoming call.
This feature has no administration impacts.

Install Firmware Release 1.4(3) on Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Before You BeginProcedureTo make the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G available in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager system, you might need to upgrade your system with the latest DevPack patch for your release of Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Check the Readme file that is posted with the firmware version 1.4(3) for more information:
- For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, the Readme file is cmterm-7921-sccp.1-4-3-4-Readme.html.
- For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925 and 7925G-EX, the Readme file is cmterm-7925-sccp.1-4-3-4-Readme.html.
- For Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7926G, the Readme file is cmterm-7926-sccp.1-4-3-4-Readme.html.
Before using the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, you must install the latest firmware on all Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers in the cluster.
Step 1 To access the firmware files, go to this URL: http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?mdfid=278875240&i=rp
Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download page. Step 3 Choose the IP Telephony folder. Step 4 Choose . Step 5 Choose Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7926G. Step 6 Choose Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software. Step 7 Choose 1.4(3) under the Latest Releases folder. Step 8 Click Download or Add to cart and follow the prompts. Step 9 To view the Readme file, use the Add to cart download method. Step 10 Follow the instructions in the Readme file to install the firmware.
Install Firmware Release 1.4(3) on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express
ProcedureYou must download the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G version 1.4(3) firmware image file from the software download center.

To install the firmware, follow these steps:
Step 1 To access the firmware files, go to this URL: http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?mdfid=278875240&i=rp
Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download page. Step 3 Choose the IP Telephony folder. Step 4 Choose . Step 5 Choose Cisco Unified IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified IP Phones 7926G. Step 6 Choose Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software. Step 7 Choose 1.4(3) in the Latest Releases folder. Step 8 Click Download or Add to cart and follow the prompts. Step 9 Extract the files from the TAR image , manually copy them to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express TFTP server (router flash), and enable them for TFTP.
Install Bulk Deployment Utility
Procedure

Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download page. Step 3 Choose the IP Telephony folder. Step 4 Choose . Step 5 Choose Cisco Unified IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified IP Phone 7926G. Step 6 Choose . Step 7 Download the Bulk Deployment Utility file to the desired location. Step 8 To view the readme file, use the Add to cart download method. Step 9 Double-click on the file to launch the install wizard. Step 10 At the Welcome screen, click Next. Step 11 Click Next to accept the default destination folder as the installation path. Step 12 Click Install to start the installation. Step 13 Click Finish when the installation is complete.
Install Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility using Wavelink Avalanche Server Console
Procedure
Step 1 To access the file, go to this URL: http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?mdfid=278875240&i=rp
Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download page. Step 3 Choose the IP Telephony folder. Step 4 Choose . Step 5 Choose Cisco Unified IP Phone 7921G, Cisco Unified IP Phone 7925G, or Cisco Unified IP Phone 7926G. Step 6 Choose . Step 7 Download the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility for Wavelink Avalanche file to a host that is accessible to the Avalanche Console. Step 8 To view the Readme file, use the Add to cart download method. Step 9 Launch the Avalanche Console and connect to an Avalanche agent. Step 10 Select from the menu. Step 11 Enter the path for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility for Wavelink Avalanche file. Step 12 Click New, and enter the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 792xG Configuration Utility for Wavelink Avalanche file name. Step 13 Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Health-care environment use
This product is not a medical device and uses an unlicensed frequency band that is susceptible to interference from other devices or equipment.
Debug level impact to voice quality
Voice quality can be impaired when you set system log trace files for higher debug levels. Set only the modules that are required when capturing trace files for a phone.
USB Connection Disabled After Powering Phone Off and On
If you power off the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7921G, 7925G, 7925G-EX, and 7926G with the USB cable connected and then power it on again, the USB connection might fail.
To enable the USB connection, unplug the USB cable from the phone and then plug it back in.
Game MIDlet Impact to Voice Quality
If you are running a Java MIDlet game application in the background during an active call, voice quality may be affected.
Upgrade from Releases Prior to 1.4(3)
If your Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phones are currently running a release prior to 1.4(3), then you must use the Trivial File Transport Protocol (TFTP) method to upgrade to release 1.4(3) or later. Once upgraded to release 1.4(3) or later, you can then upgrade to later versions using the phone's webpage either via USB or WLAN.
