Supported Global Controller Appliances
The software that supports the Global Controller appliance varies depending on the model of the appliance:
•Appliance Models Supported with 5.3.x
•Appliance Models Supported with 4.3.x
Appliance Models Supported with 5.3.x
Cisco Security MARS version 5.3.x supports the following Cisco Security MARS Global Controller appliances:
•Cisco Security MARS GC2 (CS-MARS-GC2-K9)
•Cisco Security MARS GC2R (CS-MARS-GC2R-K9)
Appliance Models Supported with 4.3.x
Cisco Security MARS Version 4.3.x supports the following Cisco Security MARS and Protego Networks MARS Global Controller appliances:
• Cisco Security MARS GC (CS-MARS-GC-K9)
•Cisco Security MARS GCm (CS-MARS-GCM-K9)
•Protego Networks PN-MARS GC
•Protego Networks PN-MARS GCm
Supported Reporting Devices
The Local Controller models that can be managed by a Global Controller appliance varies depending on the model of the Global Controller appliance:
•Appliance Models Supported with 5.3.x
•Appliance Models Supported with 4.3.x
Note The version of software running on a Global Controller must match the version running on the managed Local Controllers. In 5.3.x and 4.3.x mixed environments, the last two numbers must match across the two versions. For example, a GC2 running 5.3.2 can manage any Local Controller running 4.3.2.
