Vicki Batka

Vicki joined Cisco in December 2015 as Managing Director for Data Center Sales in Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ). Reporting to Irving Tan, Senior Vice President for APJ, Vicki’s primary responsibility is to drive the Data Center & Virtualization business, a key focus area at Cisco. Aside from leading the Data Center team across the region, Vicki drives channel partner relationships and is the primary contact for Data Center-related Business Units at Cisco’s global headquarters in San Jose (USA).

Vicki joined Cisco after working for SAP as their Senior Director, Platform and Systems Group (PSG) APJ, responsible for developing a PSG Channel Route to Market.

Vicki has been based in Asia for over a decade. She is a 25-year veteran of IT, holding senior positions in Management, Sales & Marketing for companies such as SAP, VMware, CA Technologies, Adobe, Toshiba and Network Associates, as well as with technology start-up enterprises.

Vicki has experience across multiple routes to market; from Consumer & Web Sales to Global System Integrators, OEM and Mainstream 2-tier Channel models. Technology and ISV alliances have also been Vicki’s responsibilities over the years.

Vicki has spoken at many Technology events across Asia Pacific and is often called upon by leading industry publications for comments on Channel & IT trends.

In her spare time, Vicki enjoys photography and exploring the wonderful food offerings of Asia, especially with her husband Richard and young son Marcus.

Australia’s first female Winter Olympic Gold Medalist, Alisa Camplin, possesses that rare story telling ability that inspires, entertains and transfers knowledge. Tens of thousands of people have been motivated, laughed and cried, and walked away with a toolkit of skills to create their own success after listening to Australia’s premier female speaker. Learning to ski at just 19 years of age, Alisa broke nearly every bone in her body as she climbed through the ranks, brought home back-to-back Olympic medals and dominated the sport of Freestyle Aerial Skiing.  

At the same time, Alisa built a global career with corporate giant IBM, leading $200M+ businesses as a senior executive working across brand strategy, sales, business development and service delivery. Proving that success is a choice, Alisa then turned heart-wrenching personal adversity into an opportunity to improve the lives of others, raising more than $1M through her charity Finnan’s Gift.  Now leading from the boardroom, Alisa is fresh, honest and deliberate in her pursuits, combining business fundamentals with an authentic resilient attitude in order to succeed.  As real as they come, Alisa Camplin is nothing short of amazing!

Dan Hanson

Dan Hanson is a Technical Marketing Director for Cisco’s Computing Systems Product Group.  He leads the UCS technical marketing organisation which defines the strategic technical architecture of the product line, and helps consumers understand and effectively utilise the capabilities this product set provides within the greater Cisco data centre vision.Mr. Hanson is the author of numerous papers and design guides relating to networking and storage aspects of Server Virtualisation with multiple hypervisor platforms, Unified Computing System architectures, Server integration into corporate data centre infrastructures, Software Defined Infrastructure, and the larger architectural vision of Cisco’s data centre efforts.

Mr. Hanson also has recommended designs and engineered the deployment of multiple enterprise and hosting provider Virtual Private Data Centre and Cloud efforts.These efforts included deployment and integration to various orchestration platforms (commercial and private) that encompassed not only Compute, but also programmable DC fabric, Virtualised Network Services, DC security, rapid scale-up/scale-down, monitoring, SLA enforcement, multi-site and other technologies.

Mr Hanson holds a BS in Electronics Engineering from North Dakota State University, and an MS in Electronics Engineering from Purdue University.

Soni Jianani

Soni Jiandani serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Insieme Business Unit at Cisco. Insieme is building next generation data center solutions with its Software Defined Networking vision - Application Centric Infrastructure - and is responsible for Cisco’s Merchant and Merchant Plus Switching Portfolio, including the Nexus 3000 and 9000 portfolios.Insieme had been an outside venture until November 2013 when the team rejoined Cisco. Soni Is driven to deliver a dynamic, agile, fast, secure, scalable, reliable infrastructure that can respond to automation and meet the needs and demands of tomorrow’s applications.

Soni has been a key member of the entrepreneurial teams that developed everything from the Nexus 5000 to Cisco’s Unified Computing System. Prior to Insieme, Soni was the Senior Vice President for Cisco’s Server Access Virtualization Technology Group.  She was responsible for the development and implementation of the Cisco-wide strategy for Data Center Access and virtualization solutions, including Unified Computing System and Unified Fabric (Nexus 2K-5K portfolio). Under her leadership, this portfolio grew to a multi-billion dollar business and today enjoys the #1 spot in U.S. market share and #2 in Europe.

Another venture Soni helped to lead focused on Data Center transformations. At Nuova Systems, Soni was a co-founder and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships.  At Nuova, Soni and the executive team defined and built the Nexus 2K, 5K Unified Fabric and the Unified Computing System. In this role, she was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, technology partnerships and sales strategy programs.

Throughout her career at Cisco, Soni has played key roles in creating and executing strategic initiatives and driving product marketing development in the LAN switching arena.  She served as Vice President and General Manager of Cisco’s LAN and SAN switching business unit within the Data Center, Switching and Wireless Technology Group. In this role, she helped to grow the industry leading Catalyst 6000, 6500 modular switches portfolio to a multi-billion dollar business and create a comprehensive portfolio of intelligent MDS SAN switches, making Cisco the market leader in modular SANs.

Soni also served as Vice President of Marketing for the Cisco Internet Systems Business Unit and Vice President, Marketing for the Workgroup Business Unit.  Her contributions enabled Cisco to secure its leadership position in Ethernet LAN switching.

Prior to her tenure at Cisco, Soni was a marketing executive at UB Networks responsible for Virtual LANs and LAN switching market development.  She also took on a sales role as Regional Manager, developing markets for the company in India.  Prior to UB Networks, she drove numerous market development programs at Novell.

Soni holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from London University in England.

Nigel came to Puppet Labs from Google HQ in Mountain View, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of one of the largest Puppet deployments in the world. At Puppet, Nigel was responsible for development of the initial versions of Puppet Enterprise, and has since served in a variety of roles, including Head of Product, CTO and CIO. He has been deeply involved in Puppet's DevOps initiatives, and regularly speaks around the world about adoption of DevOps in the enterprise and IT organisational transformation.

James Leach

James Leach is the Director of Platform Strategy for Unified Computing at Cisco. He is responsible for leading the team that defines the platform strategy within the UCS Product management team. He joined Cisco in 2010 as a Sr. Product Manager helping to launch the some of the early UCS server platforms. James has also held the position of Principal Engineer within the UCS Product Management team where he was responsible for defining the 3rd and 4th generation UCS server portfolio.

Prior to joining Cisco, James held a variety of roles at Hewlett Packard within the blade server product management team including leading the Virtual Connect product portfolio. James had joined Compaq Computer in 1989 and held a positions in operations and engineering including serving as Program Manager for world-wide beta program engineering for both Compaq and Hewlett Packard (post merger).

James holds a B.S. In Computer Information Systems and received his M.B.A. from Rice University.

For the past 27 years, James has resided with his wife and two children in Houston, Texas where he enjoys spending his free time playing golf and Ice Hockey. James is also a Certificated Commercial Pilot and takes time to be active in the aviation community. James also is an active Board Member of The Sanfilippo Foundation For Children.

David Mellers

David is responsible for Intel’s Enterprise Solutions strategy throughout Australia and New Zealand. In his role, David oversees the delivery of Intel business technology solutions as the enterprise comes to grips with the changing face of technology.

In particular, with the Internet of Things emerging as the next industrial revolution, David is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of Intel’s local IoT strategy, providing expertise in helping businesses securely capture, filter, process, store and analyse data for key business insights.

In addition to IoT, big data, and cloud computing solutions, David’s team also focuses on providing suitable end user client computing platforms. His team concentrates on key industries such as banking, telecommunications, transport, health,  government and scientific research.

David has been with Intel for more than 10 years. Prior to his current role, David spearheaded much of Intel’s growth during his seven years as Business Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Throughout that time he developed and nurtured strong customer relationships, with a focus on the Federal and New South Wales Government.

Dave Robbins

Dave joined Cisco in 2013 to help bring the next-generation Nexus 9000 and ACI technologies to market in Australia and New Zealand, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure technologies - focussed on application delivery and security. This has included the development of systems integration models for hybrid cloud, along with a focus on the forefront of real-world use cases for SDN. Dave is passionate about the need for innovation in technology infrastructure to deliver competitive advantage in both small and large enterprises.

Mark has been a Data Centre Specialist with Cisco since 2014.Focusing on the adoption of technology to meet existing and new business needs, Mark works with clients to help assess the benefits of adopting technology to improve efficiencies in both production and costs.

Prior to joining Cisco, Mark worked with several other vendor technologies over the last 10 years, and has a sound understanding of the ICT and business landscape. Having been involved in several multi-million dollar technology projects, ranging from High Performance Computing to Enterprise Private Clouds and Hosted Managed Services, Mark assists clients in navigating the endless stream of new technologies to ensure business value and returns on investment are maintained.
