The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Learn more about how Cisco is using Inclusive Language.
Note Although visible in the Cisco DMM user interface, Release 5.5 and 5.6 software does not support Cisco Digital Signs, Cisco Digital Media Players (DMPs), Cisco Cast, Cisco Digital Media Designer, or the Cisco Digital Media Player Device Manager.
Step 1 Click the Dashboard tab.
The Dashboard for DMS-Admin centralizes many features for system monitoring and log collection. When problems of any kind interfere with the data-collection processes, question marks display in the DMM Dashboard gauges in addition to the best available data. In this case, check that your systems and network are configured and working correctly.
Until you install at least one license key, the DMS-Admin Dashboard cannot retrieve data to populate the gauges.
These are the Dashboard gauges.
Step 2 Understand the Alerts gauge.
This gauge shows the total count of notification messages delivered in the past 1 hour.
Step 3 Understand the System Information gauge.
– The content partition on your DMM appliance hard drive.
– The content partition on your Show and Share appliance hard drive.
Step 4 Understand the Status gauge.
Refresh your browser to update the data displayed in the Status gauge.
If you have set up the hardware and activated the separately licensed software features for server failover, and Show and Share, this gauge summarizes the current state in three summaries.
Step 5 Understand the Licensed Features gauge.
This gauge lists software feature module licenses that are installed on your DMM appliance and describes constraints that your licenses impose.
Step 6 Understand the Users Logged In gauge.
Counts the total number of users who logged in to your Cisco DMS appliances over the past 1 hour.
