This document describes the system requirements, new features, Information about the images, known caveats, and workarounds for Cisco UCS Management Pack Suite, Release 4.x for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. This document also includes current information that became available after the technical documentation was published.

Overview of Cisco UCS Management Pack
A management pack is a definition file with predefined monitoring settings that enables you to monitor a specific service or application in an Operations Manager. The discovery information settings allow Operations Manager to detect and begin monitoring services and applications automatically. The knowledge base consists alerts, reports, error, and troubleshooting information which helps you in resolving problems detected in the environment.
Cisco UCS Management Pack Suite, Release 4.x is a set of management packs which provide visibility to the health, performance and availability of Cisco UCS servers managed by Cisco UCS Manager and Cisco IMC. It also helps you to monitor health and availability of the Cisco UCS Central system.
System Requirements
The following system requirements are for Management Servers, Gateway Servers or Operations Manager Windows Agents (trusted or untrusted boundary) with Cisco UCS Monitoring Service running on them.

Upgrading and Migrating the Cisco UCS Management Pack Suite
The Cisco UCS Management Pack Suite, Release 4.x does not support direct upgrade from 3.x and 2.6 versions. You need to uninstall the previous version and install the 4.x version. For upgrade instructions, see Cisco UCS Management Pack Suite Installation and Deployment Guide, Release 4.x For Microsoft System Center Operations Manager .
To migrate from Release 3.x to 4.x, run the backup script, uninstall all the previous version, install the version 4.x, and run the migration scripts. For more information on the migrating scripts, see https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-67249.
