The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. This document lists and describes the system messages for Cisco NX-OS including Cisco Virtual Security Gateway. The system software sends these messages to the console (and, optionally, to a logging server on another system) during operation. Not all messages indicate a problem with your system. Some messages are purely informational, while others might help diagnose problems with links, internal hardware, or the system software.
This document includes system messages for all CiscoNX-OS software releases.
This preface describes the audience, organization, and conventions of this guide. It also provides information on how to obtain related documentation.
