These release notes describe the features of the Cisco 881WD and Cisco 887VA-WD Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) with embedded WLAN antennas that support dual WiFi radio.

Cisco 881WD and 887VA-WD have 512 MB onboard memory and 256 MB flash memory.

Determining the Software Version

To determine the release of Cisco IOS software currently running on your Cisco router, log in to the router and enter the show version EXEC command. The following sample output from the show version command indicates the Cisco IOS release on the first output line:

Cisco 880WD Features

New Features in Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)M1

Cisco 881WD and 887VA-WD are non-3G fixed-platform routers that support dual WiFi radio WLAN interfaces.

Cisco Aironet 802 Access Point (AP802) is an integrated access point on the Next Generation Cisco 880 Series ISRs. Cisco 881WD and 887VA-WD with Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)M1 support AP802 dual radio access point. For more information on AP802, see Release Notes for Cisco 802 Access Points for Cisco IOS Releases 12.4(25d)JAX and 12.4(25d)JAX1.

Cisco 880WD Features

Cisco 881WD and 887VA-WD ISRs provide the following functionalities:

512 MB onboard memory

256 MB flash memory

4-port 10/100 Switch

2-port PoE (factory-configurable option)

10/100 FE WAN (Cisco 881WD only)

1-port console/aux

1-port external USB 2.0

ADSL2+ Annex A (Cisco 887VA-WD only)

WLAN AP should not be reset by the host router even if VLAN interfaces are down

Symptom    WLAN AP running on Next Generation Cisco 800 Series ISRs gets reset periodically.

Conditions   VLAN interface associated to "Wlan-gigabitethernet 0" interface was shut down.

Workaround   VLAN interface associated to "Wlan-gigabitethernet 0" interface should be in admin UP state.
