There are several options you can use to manage the file system on the
VPN 3000 Concentrator.

The information in this document was created from the devices in a
specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with
a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you
understand the potential impact of any command.
Technical Tips Conventions for more information on document
Unlike a PIX, the VPN 3000 Concentrator does not provide an option to
synchronize the configuration from the primary on to the secondary VPN
Concentrator when you configure failover. This document provides a procedure
that allows you to achieve this on a VPN 3000 Concentrator.
The most efficient way is to synchronize the configuration on two VPN
3000 Concentrator devices when you configure redundancy between them. You can
also use part of the procedure to backup or copy the current configuration on a
specific VPN 3000 Concentrator and reload the same device with a new
Complete these steps in order to copy the configuration file from the
primary VPN Concentrator to the secondary VPN Concentrator:
On the primary VPN Concentrator, click Save Needed

active configuration option. This causes the secondary VPN
Concentrator to reboot using the CONFIG that you just uploaded.
