Q. How can I check if the RPS1000 is faulty?


You can determine the problem of the RPS1000 by looking at the LED lights of the device. Below are the different symptoms and troubleshooting steps to resolve the problems:

Symptom 1: Standby/Active LED is OFF
Condition: The AC power connection to one or both of the Internet power supply is faulty or not connected.
Action: Check the AC power connection to the external power. If the AC power is connected properly, the problem might be the RPS1000 Internet power supply.

Symptom 2: Output power is amber.
Condition: The DC output power from the internal power supply is not available or is not functioning correctly. An internal power supply is defective or the RPS1000 has reacted to an over current condition.
Action: Press the Standby/Active button. If the LED does not turn green, replace the RPS1000.

Symptom 3: Temperature LED is amber.
Condition: The RPS1000 is approaching an over-temperature condition.
Action: Reduce the ambient temperature.

Symptom 4:? Fan LED is amber.
Condition: The fan is not operating properly.
Action: The fan is defective. Replace the RPS1000.

Symptom 5: One or more DC output LEDs are solid amber.
Condition: The RPS1000 is in standby mode.
Action: Press the Standby/Active button to put the RPS1000 into active mode.
