Customize IAC Logins for LDAP

Introduction

In certain customer environments, Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud (IAC) needs to communicate directly with corporate LDAP servers. Connecting to LDAP servers requires a different set of login credentials be entered by the customer.

Customize the IAC Login in Process Orchestrator

The following configuration steps are used to customize the "nsapiuser" login in IAC. In order for the changes to take full effect, the "nsapiuser" login must be changed in three separate areas of Cisco Process Orchestrator.

Changing Process Orchestrator

In order for IAC to communicate with an LDAP server, the login settings must be changed in Cisco Process Orchestrator in these areas:

Changing the Cisco Cloud Portal Integration API login

Step 1: Open Cisco Process Orchestrator.

Step 2: Under Definitions locate Targets on the left side menu.

Step 3: In Targets locate the Cloud Portal Integration API target and double-click on the item. It will open the dialogue window as shown below.

Step 4: In the dialogue window select the Cloud tab.

Step 5: Under the Cloud tab, in the Configuration section, under CloudPortal.API.User: change the user field to the desired "new user" login name.

Step 6: Click the OK button.

Changing the Cisco Cloud Portal Request Center API login

Step 1: Open Cisco Process Orchestrator.

Step 2: Under Definitions locate Targets on the left side menu.

Step 3: In Targets locate the Cloud Portal Request Center API target and double-click on the item. It will open the dialogue window as shown below.

Step 4: In the dialogue window select the Cloud tab.

Step 5: Under the Cloud tab, in the Configuration section, under CloudPortal.API.User: change the user field to the desired "new user" login name.

Step 6: Click the OK button.

Changing the Runtime User for Cloud Portal User login

Step 1: Open Cisco Process Orchestrator.

Step 2: Under Definitions locate Runtime Users on the left side menu.

Step 3: In Runtime Users locate the Cisco Cloud Portal User target and double-click on the item. It will open a dialogue window as shown below.

Step 4: In the dialogue window select the General tab.

Step 5: Under the General tab, in the Configuration section, under CloudPortal.API.User: change the user field to the desired “new user” login name.

Step 6: Click the OK button.

After completing the above steps you will need to update the agents as desribed in the following steps.

Updating the Agents

Step 1: In Service Catalog go to Setup and select System Settings.

Step 2: Un Choose the Set Agent Configuration option to “nsapi” update the information and hit submit. The agents will be updated once the new information is submitted.

Step 3: Restart all the agents.
