Tyler Bletsch is a reference architect in the Infrastructure and Cloud Enablement group at NetApp. In this role, he develops best practices and documentation for utility grid and cloud-based architectures. Before this, he worked as an engineer on the NetApp Kilo Client, a 1700-node test/development server pool that fulfilled the high-throughput testing needs of engineers across the company. Bletsch is currently finishing his doctorate at North Carolina State University, where he is focusing on the application of novel virtualization architectures to security. His prior research interests have included applications of solid-state storage, graph structures in web-based media, and power-aware computing.
