® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco VT Camera. The last day to order the affected product is May 24, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 2, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Cisco Unified Video Advantage (formerly known as Cisco VT Advantage) is a video telephony solution comprised of Cisco Unified Video Advantage software and a USB camera. The end-of-sale and end-of-life is for part numbers that include the Cisco VT Camera. Customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco Unified Video Advantage with Cisco VT Camera II. Table 2 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement product.

The difference between Cisco VT Camera II and Cisco VT Camera is non-functional and does not affect the functionality of Cisco Unified Video Advantage. Existing Cisco Unified Video Advantage users do not have to replace their cameras with Cisco VT Camera II. Cisco VT Cameras requiring replacements will be replaced with either the Cisco VT Camera or Cisco VT Camera II. Cisco VT Camera II requires Cisco Unified Video Advantage software version 2.0(1) or later. This software version will support both Cisco VT Camera and Cisco VT Camera II.
