Product Overview

The Cisco TelePresence® Serial GW MSE 8330 blade is part of the industry-leading Cisco TelePresence MSE 8000 Series chassis-based video conferencing solution (Figure 1). It allows transparent integration between IP and serial video conferencing networks. Highly scalable, with feature transparency plus powerful dial-plan capabilities, it allows organizations using networks attached through serial interfaces to gain all the benefits from IP-based high-definition (HD) video conferencing solutions.

Features and Benefits

Table 1 summarizes the key features of the Cisco TelePresence Serial GW MSE 8330 blade, and Figure 2 shows an example of secure serial connectivity to a video conferencing multipoint control unit (MCU).
