Notes
Common for Nutanix and VMware
VMware
- Supported versions of VMware vSphere ESXi are ESXi 7.0U1 and later and ESXi 8.0U1 and later (inclusive of all updates, for all versions).
- Version refers to the major ESXi release (for example, 7.0 or 8.0), while updates are incremental changes to these major ESXi versions (for example, 8.0U1 or 8.0U1a). The specified version or update indicates the minimum supported version or update required for that release. For more information, see Required ESXi version.
- For VMware OVA download information, see Notes on Unified CCE Release 15.0(1) VM Configurations and IOPS.
- For other details on hardware and VMware support, see Cisco Collaboration Infrastructure.
Nutanix
- Nutanix support was introduced in Release 15.0(1) SU2/ES202607.
- ECE on Nutanix requires Release 15.0(1) ES202607 or later. For VMware-to-Nutanix migration, follow the source and destination version requirements in the ECE migration guide, including the requirement to use the same Engineering Special level when applicable.
- The VM resource requirements are the same for VMware and Nutanix deployments.
- For Nutanix deployments, download the appropriate component-specific OVA from the CCE Virtualization OVA topic. For instructions on uploading the OVA to Nutanix Prism Central, see Upload OVA to Nutanix. For VMware-to-Nutanix migrations, follow the component-specific migration procedures in the same chapter.
- For validated Nutanix software versions, see the Hypervisor Compatibility section in the Contact Center Enterprise Solution Compatibility Matrix, Release 15.0(1).

| Enterprise Chat and Email follows UC storage system design requirements. For more information, refer to UC Virtualization Storage System Design Requirements.
For information about TRC versus specs-based support for storage systems, refer to UC Virtualization Supported Hardware.
All Enterprise Chat and Email VM vDisks must be deployed Thick Provisioned, Lazy, or Eager Zeroed. Thin Provisioned vDisks are not supported.
Storage Area Networks and Specs-based policy storage solutions must be able to handle the following Enterprise Chat and Email application disk I/O characteristics. Tested Reference Configurations (TRC) for Cisco UCS C-Series servers do not need to apply these requirements against their Direct Attached Storage Arrays (DAS).
