Common for Nutanix and VMware

• The VM configuration requirements in the table apply to both VMware and Nutanix deployments.
• Cisco VVB supports the following service deployment modes. Each deployment mode requires the corresponding OVA:
  • Cisco VVB service only: Supports either the Small or Medium VM profile.
  • Media Gateway service only: Requires the Medium VM profile.
  • Mixed Mode: Runs both Cisco VVB and Media Gateway services on the same VM. Mixed Mode requires the Medium VM profile with 16 GB vRAM, increased from the standard Medium profile requirement of 10 GB.
• A Medium profile does not by itself indicate the deployment mode. The Medium profile can be used for Cisco VVB service only or Media Gateway service only.
• For Mixed Mode, both Cisco VVB and Media Gateway services are enabled on the same VM, and the vRAM requirement increases from 10 GB to 16 GB.
• Use the OVA corresponding to the required deployment mode.

VMware

• Supported versions of VMware vSphere ESXi are ESXi 7.0U1 and later and ESXi 8.0U1 and later (inclusive of all updates, for all versions).
• Version refers to the major ESXi release (for example, 7.0 or 8.0), while updates are incremental changes to these major ESXi versions (for example, 8.0U1 or 8.0U1a). The specified version or update indicates the minimum supported version or update required for that release. For more information, see Required ESXi version.
• Download the VMware OVA from the Cisco Software Download page.

Nutanix

• Nutanix support was introduced in Release 15.0(1) SU2/ES202607.
• The VM resource requirements are the same for VMware and Nutanix deployments.
