The firmware image within the installation program is named CP7925G-1.4.1.LOADS and supports the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G.
This firmware version is supported on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Release 4.1 and later, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME) Release 4.3 and later.

1. Click the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ip-7900ser-crypto.
2. In the Find Device box, enter 7925
and click the Go button.
3. Click the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G highlighted link.
4. Click the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software link.
5. To view all available versions,
click Expand all.
6. Select and click the current
software version.
7. Download to your hard drive the
proper Cisco 7925 firmware installer for your Cisco Unified Communications
Manager version, as shown in Table 1.
Please note that different versions of the Cisco 7925 firmware installer are
needed for different Cisco Unified Communications Manager releases.

8. Install the firmware according to
your Cisco Unified Communications Manager release.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Cisco Unified CallManager) Version 5.1 and later
1. Using your web browser, log in to the Cisco Unified OS Administration web page.
2.
Under the Software Upgrades menu,
select Install/Upgrade.
3. In
the Software Location section, fill in the appropriate values for the file that
you downloaded above, and click Next.
4. In the Available Software
drop-down box, select the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
Note: In CUCM 6.0 and later, the drop-down box
is referred to as Options/Upgrades.
5.
After validating that the MD5 hash value is correct, click Next.
6.
(CUCM 5.1) In the Warning box, verify that you
have selected the correct file and then click Install.
7.
Verify that the installation message is “Success” (CUCM 5.1) or that the
installation status is “Complete” (CUCM 6.0 and later).
8. To install another file, click New
Install (CUCM 5.1) or Install
Another (CUCM 6.0 and later) and repeat steps 3 - 7.
9. Restart the TFTP server
a. From the Navigation drop-down menu, select Cisco Unified CallManager
Serviceability (CUCM 5.1)
or Cisco
Unified Serviceability (CUCM 6.0 and later) and click Go.
b. Under the Tools menu, select Control
Center - Feature Services.
c. In the Server drop-down box, select the server where the firmware was
installed.
d. Click the Cisco Tftp service radio button.
e. Click the Restart button or icon.

Reset the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G to upgrade the firmware.
a. From the Navigation
drop-down menu, select Cisco Unified CallManager Administration (CUCM 5.1)
or Cisco
Unified CM Administration (CUCM 6.0 and later) and click Go.
b. Under Device
menu, select Phone.
c. Click Find to
list all the devices.
d. Select the Cisco 7925 wireless IP phones to reset, then
click Reset Selected button or icon.
e. In the Device Reset
pop-up window, click Reset.
Cisco Unified CallManager Version 4.1, 4.2, 4.3
1. Copy the Cisco 7925 firmware installer file to the TFTP server.
2. Double-click the
file to begin installation on the TFTP server.
3. At the InstallShield Wizard Welcome screen, click Next.
4. At the License
Agreement screen, click Yes.
5. If prompted to
overwrite any files, click Yes.
6. After the
installation is completed, click OK.
7. Reset the Cisco
Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G to upgrade the firmware.
a. Using your web browser, log in to the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration
web page.
b. Under the Device menu,
select Phone.
c. Click Find to list all the
devices.
d. Select the Cisco 7925 wireless IP phones to reset and then click Reset Selected button or icon.
e. In the Reset Device pop-up window,
click Reset.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Version 4.3 and later
1.
Extract
files from the ZIP image and manually copy them to TFTP server (router flash),
and enable them for TFTP.
Example below:

You may verify the installation of the firmware as follows:

3. Verify that the
new firmware image name is listed in the Load

1. Using your web browser, log in to the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration
web page.
2. Under the System menu, select Device Defaults.
3. Verify that the
new firmware image name is listed in the Load
Information field for the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Version 4.1 and later
1. Use the show flash command
to learn the filenames associated with the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone
firmware.
2. Use the show ephone
phone-load command to verify that the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone
firmware that is installed on a particular ephone.
The
Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G firmware can be upgraded without a Cisco
Unified Communications Manager,
using a USB connection or WLAN. Follow the instructions below to upgrade
your phone firmware using a USB
or WLAN connection.
