Detailed list of Resolved Caveats in this Engineering Special

Caveats are ordered by severity then defect number.

Defect Number: CSCvq63560

Component: aw.tools

Severity: 3

Headline: User with "configuration readonly" permission is able to edit the script editor.

Symptom:
A user with "Configuration and Read Only" permission as set in the Configuration Manager's User list tool, is able to login into the Administration & Data Server or Administration Client machine, and subsequently able to edit ICM / CCE scripts.

Conditions:
Impacts Supervisors and Users who have the SAM Account Name and User Principal Name's (UPN) User account name portion, different in the Active Directory. For example, UPN format first.last@.com SAM Account Name \a12345. Also seen when there is a case mismatch found between the SAM Account Name and the corresponding entry in the User_Group table of the CCE database.

Workaround:
Make changes in the Active Directory for the affected users such that both the SAM Account Name and the UPN's Username portion match, and re-add the User/Supervisor into the User List tool.

Further Problem Description:
There is also an associated issue as described in CSCvn47162 that impacts access to other Configuration Manager tools, when a Read-Only user login, into the Administration & Data Server / Administration Client system to view configuration.
