Installing Unified CCE 12.5(1) ES21


Installation of this patch requires the all ICM services to be shut down during the entire period of installation. It is always recommended to install this ES during a scheduled downtime.

1.        Using the ICM Service Control, stop all the ICM services running on the system.

2.        Launch the Installer provided for ES21 and follow the instructions on the screen.

3.      Check the version of tomcat installed by running <ICM HOME>\tomcat\bin\version.bat . If its 9.0.37 or higher, then do the following steps


4.        Using the ICM Service Control, start all ICM services again.

 

Uninstall Directions for Unified CCE 12.5(1) ES21


 

Note: The FTP credentials will be lost after patch uninstallation, and this needs to be configured again after uninstallation.
 

Pre Uninstallation

1.     Login into CCE Web Administration.

2.     Go to inventory.

3.     Disable all the CVP servers which are marked as media server.

 

Uninstall Patch

  1. To uninstall this patch, go to Control Panel.
  2. Select "Add or Remove Programs".
  3. Find the installed patch in the list and select "Remove".

Note: Remove patches in the reverse order of their installation. For example, if you installed patches 3, then 5, then 10 for a product, you must uninstall patches 10, 5, and 3, in that order, to remove the patches from that product.

Post uninstallation

4.     Restart ICM box after uninstallation.

5.     Login to CCE Web Administration.

6.     Go to inventory.

7.     Edit one of the CVP machine.

8.     Trigger full sync.

Symptom:
Error is occured, FTP server credentials must be blank when FTP is disabled

Conditions:
The issue is hit while configuring the deployment credentials in PCCE2k wizard

Workaround:
Update Machine_Service set Pairing='false' where ServiceType=1029;

Further Problem Description:
In our PCCE functional testbed, we tried rerunning fresh Install wizard when inventory was not displaying, and we hit the error

Defect Number: CSCvv43901

Component: web.config.ui

Severity: 2

Headline: SPOG does not allow resetting SIGDigits back to 0.


Symptom:
On the SPOG 12.5, Device configuration -> CVP call server -> SIP TAB -> SigDigits -> the value here is set as "select" by default, (this will be set as 0 in SIP.property file). however, when we change this to let's say "4", there is no way to reset it back to 0.

Conditions:
When the sigdigit is changed to any value.

Workaround:
NA

Further Problem Description:

Headline: Finesse gadget does not load in cceadmin Device Configuration


Symptoms:
1. Finesse gadget does not load in cceadmin Device Configuration 2. Desktop - resource page is blank. All the other components (except Finesse) work fine.

Conditions:
PCCE 4k deployment and 12k deployment

Workaround:
Use Finesse CfAdmin page to configure CTI and AW ip addresses

Symptom:
External HDS save fails from Inventory

Conditions:

Headline: CUIC user group membership revoked for bulk user during PCCE sync


Symptom:
PCCE sync calling the User Update REST call with default ?All User? group and not considering the existing associated groups into consideration. This happens to the set of supervisor users whose attributes (like SSO enablement) gets updated in PCCE

Conditions:
PCCE 12.0 CUIC 12.0

Headline: PCCE 12.5 4K/12K Deployment Type - Peripheral Gateway API does not work


Symptom:
Peripheral Gateway API returns a 403 response in PCCE 4K/12K deployment type for version 12.5. For example, if we send below request, https://servername/unifiedconfig/config/peripheralgateway It returns a 403 response. Access to servername was denied. You don't have authorization to view this page. In Tomcat logs, we can see this: REST_API_INFO: %[url=/unifiedconfig/config/peripheralgateway]: The specified URL is not enabled for the user or user type Administrator

Conditions:
When trying to use Peripheral Gateway API in PCCE 12.5 4K/12K deployment type
