This is a mandatory Engineering Special, applicable only for Packaged CCE deployments.
It aids in managing licenses and reports license usage against entitlements using Smart Licensing, along with configuring
Customer Virtual Assistant (CVA) feature for CVP servers that may be getting upgraded to version 12.5(x),
while retaining CCE at version 12.0(1) in a multi-staged upgrade scenario.
Installing this patch for non-PCCE deployments is NOT supported.
Along with fixes for the defects specified
below, this Engineering Special also includes support for the following features
to PCCE 12.0(1):
· Platform support
o This engineering special
is supported on 12.0(1) running on either Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows
Server 2016. However, if you are on a CCE 12.0 server that was in-line upgraded
to Windows Server 2016, ensure you install the ES18 patch before installing the
ES26, ES34 or ES37patch.
o Note: You can down the ES18 patch from https://software.cisco.com/download/specialrelease/60cc617f633ae3bfe2dcf418474b4f45
· Avaya ACD support for
PCCE 4K and PCCE 12K deployments
o This feature provides
support for Avaya integration. For more information about the feature, see the
Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise Features Guide at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/packaged-contact-center-enterprise/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
o Note: CVP12.0(1) ES4 needs to be installed on the CVP
call servers to be able to configure DNIS configurations on the CVP servers.
· ICM-to-ICM Gateway
support for PCCE 4K and PCCE 12K deployments
o This feature provides
support for ICM-to-ICM Gateway configuration. For more information about the
feature, see the Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise Features Guide
at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/packaged-contact-center-enterprise/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
· Third Party Integrations
o Use the third-party
integration feature to add third-party user interfaces the Contact Center
employs into Unified CCE Administration. You can host custom gadgets such as a
custom agent reskilling gadget or a third-party pages such as a
browser-based email client. Use the pages or gadgets to manage multiple
third-party components from the single panel of Unified CCE Administration.
o For information on how
to integrate a third-party gadget or page to Unified CCE Administration, see
the Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise Administration and Configuration
Guide, Release 12.0 (1) at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/packaged-contact-center-enterprise/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
· CVP Statistics for PCCE
2K, PCCE 4K and PCCE 12K deployments
o This feature enables the
administrator to view statistics for CVP Call Server, VXML Server, and
Reporting Server in the Inventory page of Unified CCE Administration.
o Note: CVP12.0(1) ES4 needs to be installed on the CVP
call servers for the CVP Statistics feature to work as
expected.
· Call Progress Analysis (CPA) Parameters for
Outbound Campaign configuration. These parameters can be configured under ‘Advanced’ tab
of the Campaign configuration.
· Decouple CCE Authorizations from Active Directory :
o Packaged
CCE 12.0(1) uses Microsoft Active Directory to handle both authentication and
authorization. Installing Packaged CCE 12.0 ES34 or ES37 decouples
authorization from the active directory. An application user is authorized by
checking the roles in the local database. The Packaged CCE solution will also
require that you add user IDs to the local user groups on each local machine
for authorizations. User privileges are provided by memberships to local user
groups that are in the local machines.
o Note: After installing ES34
or ES37, ensure that you change the AW registry "ADSecurityGroupUpdate" to 1 to disable the
local authorization feature. Change the registry key value back to 0 if you
want to enable the local authorization feature.
For information on how to decouple CCE
Authorization from Active Directory, see the Solution Design Guide for Cisco
Packaged Contact Center Enterprise,
Release 12.0at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/packaged-contact-center-enterprise/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
· CVP Configuration
for Media Server: Packaged
CCE 12.0 ES34 or p;ort ES37
includes support for the following in the Unified CCE Administration interface
of Packaged CCE 2000 Agent,4000 Agent, and 12000 Agent deployments.
·
Addition,
modification, and deletion of media servers as external machines.
·
Enabling and
modifying FTP Configuration in Media Servers and in CVPs (where Media Servers
are installed). Note that any configuration in the media server gets
propagated to all other media servers across sites.
Note: CVP12.0(1) ES6
must installed on CVP for the FTP feature to work effectively.
For
information on how to configure FTP, see the Cisco
Packaged Contact Center Enterprise Administration and Configuration Guide,
Release 12.0(1) at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/packaged-contact-center-enterprise/products-maintenance-guides-list.html
·
Command Execution Pane: In Packaged CCE 12.0 ES37, this new feature enables admin to send
REST API to any CVP, CVP Reporting and VVB machine in the solution from Unified
CCE Administration web tool. This feature is mainly provided to allow admin to
configure certain parameters in CVP/CVP Reporting or VVB machines for which no
user interface is available at Unified CCE Administration web tool. For
example, if a PCCE customer wants to use Customer Virtual Assistant (CVA)
feature of VVB 12.5 (1) while keeping the central controller in 12.0 version (during
Multi-stage upgrade of solution), the configuration user interface for CVA
service account will not be available, hence, admin will use this feature for
such configuration.
For more information see the Cisco Packaged Contact Center Enterprise Administration and Configuration Guide,

the Patch: The following links take you to an emergency patch, called an
Engineering Special or ES. These emergency patches are meant for deployments
that are actively encountering a specific problem and cannot wait for a formal
release to include a fix. An ES receives limited testing compared to a formal
release. Installing an ES on a production system poses a risk of instability
due to that limited testing. If you are not directly experiencing this problem,
wait to install a major, minor, or maintenance release that includes the fix
for this issue. If you experience this problem and cannot wait for a later
formal release, select the ES that matches the base release of your deployment.
The base release is the front part of the ES name. Only install an ES that
matches the release that your deployment runs. Always read the release notes or

Further Problem Description: Getting
the Patch: The following links take you to an emergency patch, called an
Engineering Special or ES.
Always read the release notes or
Readme file before running the patch installer.

Defect Number: CSCvp12852
Component: doc
Severity: 3
Headline: Edit Attributes for Multiple Agents Option missing in PCCE 11.6 GUI
Symptom: Per PCCE 11.6 Administration and Configuration Guide:

Step 1 Navigate to Unified CCE Administration > Manage > Agents. Step 2
Check the check box for each agent whose attribute assignments and values you
want to edit. To select all agents in a list, check the select/deselect all
check box in the list header. (The check box is enabled for select all only
when the number of agents in the list is less than or equal to 50.) The total
number of selected agents appears above the agent list. To clear all agents,
check the select/deselect all check box. (The check box is enabled for deselect
all when you check one or more agents in the list, regardless of the number of
agents in the list.) Step 3 Click Edit > Attributes. The Edit Attributes
pop-up window opens with a list of attributes. The # of Selected Agents column
indicates how many of the selected agents already are assigned each attribute.
For step 3 In Edit option we do not have a option for
Attributes in drop down list and thereby no Attributes pop-up window opens up.
