This document provides installation instructions for ICM10.5(2) ES9. It also contains a list of ICM issues resolved by this engineering special. Please review all sections in this document pertaining to installation before installing the product. Failure to install this engineering special as described may result in inconsistent ICM behavior.

ICM 10.5.2a
This section is like "version support", except that you need to describe which components of the system can be installed together and which can't. Really only necessary for multiple-component systems, like ICM.
This section lists the ICM components on which this engineering special can be installed, and those on which it cannot.
ICM10.5(2)a ES9 is compatible
with and should be installed on these ICM components:
Installation of this patch requires the respective ICM
component to be shutdown during
the entire period of installation. It is always recommended to install this ES
during a scheduled downtime.
· Using the
ICM Service Control, Stop the respective ICM component on which you intend to
install this patch.
· Launch
the Installer provided for ES9 and following the instructions on the screen.
· Using the
ICM Service Control instance on which you have installed this patch, Start the
Distributor component.
To uninstall this patch, go to Control Panel. Select "Add or Remove Programs". Find the installed patch in the list and select "Remove".
Note: Patches have to be removed in the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you had installed patches 3, then 5, then 10 for a product, you will need to uninstall patches 10, 5 and 3 in that order to remove all patches for that product.

Headline: 10.5(2) UCCE patch upgrade causes Tomcat and SQL Login failures
Symptom:
When Logger or HDS (boxes with SQL installed) are upgraded to 10.5.2.a after the reboot, every 5 sec, the following will be
logged into the SQL Server logs (and windows event viewer): 2015-07-29 03:56:13.39 Logon Login failed for user 'NT
AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database.
[CLIENT: 127.0.0.1] 2015-07-29 03:56:18.39 Logon Error:
18456, Severity: 14, State: 38. Apache logs will also throw exception every 5
seconds, in C:\icm\tomcat\logs path.
Conditions: Upgraded to 10.5.2a
Workaround: Ideally "uiroot" folder was
supposed to be created on distributor box if reskilling was enabled. ICM
10.5(2) installer creates "uiroot" folder
wherever ICM 10.5(2) patch was installed. So if re-skilling
was enabled on distributor in that case only we should re-run web-setup on
distributor machine which will update client.properties.
Restart(Stop/ Start) of Apache Tomcat is required
after running AW setup. If this "uiroot"
folder is created on distributor box and reskilling feature was not enabled on
distributor box "uiroot" folder should be
deleted. In case if 10.5(2) MR was installed on non-Distributor system and it
has created "uiroot" folder inside tomcat
directory (
