Installing ICM10.5(1) ES9
Installing
ICM10.5(1)ES9
Installation of this patch requires the PG or router to be
shut down during the entire period of installation. It is always recommended to
install this ES9 during a scheduled downtime. On a fully Duplex setup, the
downtime could be minimized by applying this ES9 first on the inactive side of
the PG or router (following the instructions specified below) and start it only
after shutting down the active side of the PG or router where ES9 has to be
applied next. This would be a case of manual failover where the inactive side
would go active with the new ES9 patch.
·
Using the ICM Service Control, Stop the PG or router instance on
which you intend to install this patch.
·
Launch
the Installer provided for ES9 and following the instructions on the screen.
·
Using the ICM Service Control, Start the PG or router instance on
which you have installed this patch.
Note: On a Duplex setup, the above instructions have to be
followed on each side of the PG or router.
Uninstall Directions for ICM10.5(1)
ES9
To uninstall this patch, go to
Control Panel. Select "Add or Remove Programs". Find the installed
patch in the list and select "Remove".
Note: Patches have to be removed in
the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you had
installed patches 3, then 5, then 10 for a product, you will need to uninstall
patches 10, 5 and 3 in that order to remove all patches for that product.
Removing this patch
requires the PG or router to be shutdown. It is always recommended to remove
this ES during a scheduled downtime.
· Using the ICM Service Control, Stop the PG or router
component on which you intend to remove this patch.
· From the system Control Panel,
choose Add or Remove Programs to launch the Installer for ES
and following the instructions on the screen to remove this patch.
· Using the ICM Service Control, Start the PG or router

Detailed
list of Resolved Caveats in This Engineering Special
Caveats are ordered by severity then
defect number.
Defect Number: CSCuq74011
Component: pg.cucm.jtapi
Severity: 3
Headline: Agent login fails after CUCM upgrade to 10.5.2 in UCCE
10.5.1
Symptom:
Unable to login an agent via CTI-OS and Finesse Agent desktop
Conditions: After CUCM upgrade from CUCM 10.5 FCS to 10.5.1.98000-263 in
UCCE 10.5 solution set,Agent
login fails
Workaround: After CUCM upgrade to 10.5.2 in UCCE 10.5.1
Step 1: - Create a
common device configuration in CUCM and changed the IP addressing mode to ?IPv4? only
Step 2
:- Add the Common device
configuration in the phone page and
restart the phone after applying the changes
Step 3: - Re-login to
the CTI-OS Agent using the same instrument
The common device config is not going to be global, so different common
device configs will need to be set up for different
phone types and feature sets.
The UCM Bulk
Administration Tool can be used to assign Common Device Config
to multiple phones of the same type.
