Headstart 2011

Welcome

Dear Valued Customer,

You are invited to our annual Cisco Packet Optical Networking Conference, to be hosted at our primary Optical R&D center in Monza, Italy on November 16 and 17, 2011. The conference provides deep insights into Cisco Packet Optical innovations and the associated business and architectural benefits. Primary themes will include:

► Convergent architecture. Learn how Cisco uses IP plus optical convergence to enable multiterabit routing, network consolidation, multilayer control plane, and next-generation operational support.

► Radical evolution in optical transmission. See how Cisco takes the densest 100-Gbps wavelength per rack into the market and how it increases the bit rate with next-generation flexible ROADM and new modulation formats.

► Bringing data centers to the next round. 100G, high-speed dense aggregation, low-cost interconnects: see how Cisco visualizes the future of data centers.

We have taken care to outline the conference agenda to maximize your benefits:

Presentations for business-oriented and technical decision makers focusing on the future of IP services, business trends in the service provider arena, and IP plus optical architectures enabling the network transition

Updates on the latest developments in IP plus optical transport technology delivered by recognized experts

Live demonstrations of leading IP plus optical solutions, including 100G coherent transmission, flexible spectrum dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM), and a control plane that ties all these layers

Service provider keynote and testimonials

Sharing opinions with fellow service providers, large enterprises, and public sector companies

This conference will feature advanced packet optical technology while offering a fertile environment for exchange of ideas. Our objective is for you to leave with a greater understanding of architectures and technologies relevant to your business and with an appreciation of what a Cisco partnership can bring to your converged network.
