Technologies Watcher Portlet

What is the Technologies Watcher portlet and how does it work?

The Technologies Watcher portlet allows you to view the three most recently published documents related to the technologies you have identified. When you log in to My Tech Support, the Technologies Watcher checks the document database for the latest documents related to the technologies listed in your Technologies Watcher.

By default, the Technologies Watcher portlet shows up to three documents related to a set of technologies Cisco has chosen for you. You can add technologies to watch and delete technologies that do not interest you.

How do I add technologies?

1. Click the Edit icon at the top right corner of the Technologies Watcher portlet. A screen displays with a list of all Cisco technologies on the left, and a list of the technologies you are currently watching on the right.
2. From the list on the left, select the technologies that you want to watch (use Ctrl-click to select multiple technologies).
3. Click the Add button.
4. The technologies display in the right column.
5. Click Save.
6. The My Tech support homepage displays.

The Technologies Watcher will show the technologies you added plus the latest three documents related to those technologies, if three related documents are in the database.

How do I delete technologies?

1. Click the Edit icon at the top right corner of the Technologies Watcher portlet. A screen displays with a list of all Cisco technologies on the left and a list of the technologies you are currently watching on the right.
2. From the list on the right, select the technologies that you want to delete (use Ctrl-click to select multiple technologies).
3. Click the Delete button.
4. The technologies are removed from the right column.
5. Click Save.
6. The My Tech support homepage displays.

The Technologies Watcher will not show the technologies you deleted or related documentation.

Why is the Technologies Watcher portlet empty?

If the Technologies Watcher portlet is empty, send email to mytechsupport-feedback@cisco.com.

How do I delete the Technologies Watcher portlet?

1. Click the Edit icon on the active page tab. The portlets and the layout for your page display.
2. Click the X on the Technologies Watcher portlet.
3. Click Save. The portlet is removed from your page.

To add the portlet again:

1. Click the Edit icon on the active page tab.
2. Click the Add Portlet button. A list of portlets that you can add to your page displays.
